I’m much more of an Alien person than a Blade Runner person and yet I somehow ended up getting something made for the year that movie was set in while almost missing the 40th Anniversary of a series I’m a bigger fan of. I mean, I certainly don’t mind Blade Runner and have seen it more than once but the Alien series (at least the first two films) was much bigger for me.

Anyway, here’s a belated acknowledgement of the 40th Anniversary of the first Alien movie which came to pass on the 25th of May 2019.

I’d also like to acknowledge the Alien cast members who are no longer with us, namely John Hurt and Harry Dean Stanton but also not to forget the man in the suit Bolaji Badejo, who had a fascinating life you can read about here.

Then of course there’s the creator of such striking imagery that the film is so well known and associated with who is also no longer with us, H.R. Giger.

On the Blade Runner side, in the time since our Blade Runner tribute went up, Rutger Hauer is also no longer with us.

Anyway, we hope you enjoy this image where we transpose the cast of Exiern to this famous classic and everyone is in the role and reacts about how you would likely expect.
