    4th Wall officially kicked down and reduced to rubble.

    I mean ever since Deadpool started making it a cool thing to do everyone is doing it.

    SELLOUT!!!

    But I digress. I wonder where this is all going now?

    You know that by invoking Deadpool he’ll turn up in the comments thread now. Nothing wrong with being a sell out though, as long as you sell high enough.

    You forgot to say DOOM

    I’m rather unsatisfied. The constant change in writers, the cliche ending, a cliche 4th wall breaking. It promises an underwhelming future…

    There is a new writer? I must admit- I have reread this “comic” a couple of times- and it is a long read, which I enjoyed and re-discovered what I had forgotten in order to make associations, but I really don’t want to do that again. Love the artist. But this is getting tiresome and plot – or several of them- are stagnating. And unless it is a gimmick for this speaker- I find white letters in the blue to be almost unreadable.

    @Vorlonagent: What are you talking about?

    The change in writers isn’t constant, it takes years for that to happen. Plus the writer isn’t changing, so what are you on about?

    Breaking the 4th wall isn’t a new thing here, either.

    I mean really, Scott started back in July of 2014, that was two years ago.

    Playing Mahjong? And walking away from the table in the middle of the game? Bad form there, Ctyx. Of course, nobody dares ask the “crazy wizard” who he’s talking to, because, well CRAZY WIZARD!

    Wait, his girlfriend was SKINNED?! WTF!!!??

    Umm where’s his amulet? The one he stole from Urtica’s vault? Or his the new sharp enough to whittle wood hand the new manifestation?

    @Url, his girlfriend was being impersonated by a skinwalker. In our world, that term can mean shapeshifter, but more often refers to a specific culture of shapeshifter, where a magic user removes the skin from the intended animal and then wears said skin to cause a transformation into that creature.
    As a skinwalker was walking around in the girl’s shape it is not an unreasonable jump to say she was without her skin at the time. That said, you are right, it was never explicitly stated

    Please, since the beginning of the comic, back in the Faden days, there were fourth wall breaks. Old Faden was always going on about things which were direct references to our world that, as someone in a medieval society, he would not know about.

    Was it always as explicit as this? No, not really… but there was definitely leanings towards it. Hell, the old Doomsayer was always talking to camera too, but his excuse was that he was crazy. Now, however, Ctyx has ascended into demi-god status with his powers, after killing off the dreamer (or something like that, i forget exactly), including Faden’s knowledge of our world.

    So… Maybe a bit more fourth-wall-breaky than it used to be… but not by much… and considering that he’s essentially become all of the old wall-breakers inside one body, it kinda makes sense that he would reach this level.

    You might want to change sweatheart to sweetheart. But OMG FADEN IS BAACK! This is bad news O_O

    I really miss dragon boy though, him and Typhon Knee were so cute together ;-;

    He’s grown up a bit and seems to have found his way in the world. Good for lilleguy with Faden’s calcified arm.

    there is no point dragging this comic on anymore, everything that should be said have been said and then some. So for the love of God just stop it now and go focus on something else.

    Jake,

    …and before Scott there was another guy, and before him…the original creator or one more guy?

    When a comic updates on a one-page-a-week schedule, 2 years ago isn’t all that long ago in story terms. It’s the rough equivalent of trying to tell a continuing comic book story and changing writers (and/or artists) every 2 or 3 issues.

    I was doing OK until I got to the surprise-cliche ending (previous page). Hanging a lantern on it did not help. It was lame. Lame enough to make me wonder why I read this comic besides the digital boobs, which are nice but not enough.

    And the real message to be learned from today’s comic:

    Always carve AWAY from your hand. It can prevent accidental injuries.

    (I have a scar on my finger to prove it)

    This much complaining, and nobody noticed that he said “SWEATheart” instead of “sweetheart”? I’ve enjoyed the story, and the art. Some elements, I didn’t like, some changes I thought were not well done, but show me a work anywhere that 100% of the people are satisfied 100% of the time. I’m not one of those “if you don’t like it, don’t read it” folks…constructive criticism is a good thing. But make it constructive…simply slapping a “cliche” label, or saying “this sucks” isn’t constructive.

    @Andor,

    What would be constructive?

    Honestly, I have been feeling this comic has been going downhill as well. The art change has really put me off and things have advanced so slowly. I think it may be time for me to just give up. I do wish this comic well, but after this page I think I am done. Good luck.

    Vorlonagent, constructive criticism would be “I’d like to see more character development of the supporting characters”, or “The expressions always seemed a bit extreme…I understand the need for drama, but maybe if they looked a little more natural?”(Neither of those are anything I have a problem with, I was just offering an example.) Offering a suggestion or opinion designed to improve the comic and let the author and artist know what we like is constructive.

    I regret that some do not like art.
    but as I said ANDOR constructive criticism are welcome to improve the series.
    Thank you all for the comments.
    I am doing my best.
