They were burning it looked like bodys in the last page, And its called Long Pig for reason and by all accounts is simply delicious. Bowls sink when they burn, so if there burned the arms and legs separate, Egyptian did this with prisoner cutting off arms and tongue out and burning them. The other Explanation is its the smell of War’Tog maybe they are pig people i.e. D&D style Orcs? But for there guts to smell good burning they need to be truly Delicious, Wonder if Tiff will set up a rib place?
@TotallyAnon First thing you do after a Battle is Evacuate the town conscript the able bodied and burn the dead to stop disease.
Enemy consolidating the concurred or King Repairing the Damage both Fear plague. Sucks to win a Big Battle only to die after from disease..
Problem is, if it smells like roast pork, then someone has been burnt, hopefully not Terry being burnt at the stake (which possibly either started or ended the whole thing) but burning the dead
“My first guess would be the Rus, but this isn’t their style.”
If it ain’t their style, why are they your first guess?
I would consider a period or semi-colon after “True” – a comma really isn’t enough. And “Loo” isn’t spelled L-U-E. Unless maybe it is. Just a sec…
“My first guess would be the Rus, but it isn’t their style.”
If it ain’t their style, why are they your first guess, dude?
There should be a period or semi-colon after “True” – a comma just isn’t enough. Also, “Loo” is not spelled L-U-E; I double-checked on dictionary.com just to be sure.
Finally, the tear welling in the Peonie’s eye in panel four is a really nice touch.

Where are the corpses? The blood?
Where do you think the roast pork smell comes from?
My guess is that it is the aftermath not of a battle but a big party!
“Who do you think did this?” “FATHER!”
Sorry, couldn’t help but laugh. xD
must have been one heck of a party
Pg roast = burnt human. 🙁

The tree golem did mention something about were-boars. Perhaps that’s where the “pig roast” smell is coming from.
Tiff, I know you’re a work in progress, but really?
Tiffany needs more lessons in social interaction.
…
And a good whack upside the head! =_=
Everyone is near or in the castle Celebrating the Union.
(Um … Poor King.)
Peonie’s not really panicking, yet – she isn’t crying ‘Daddy’.
Problem is, if it smells like roast pork, then someone has been burnt, hopefully not Terry being burnt at the stake (which possibly either started or ended the whole thing) but burning the dead
Tiff has some experience with raids, she knows what the smell of destruction is. This is something different so they should pay attention to her.
War’togs people. We were all ready told who attacked.
The princess’ worried cries remind me of the boss from the IT Crowd…

D’oh!
I thought it had been erased somehow, so I retyped it…
Maybe it’s not humans that have been burnt. Burning humans SMELL like roast beef but they TASTE like pork. At least, that’s what I heard.
@Ragingagnostic Nope I had 3rd degree burn once,(really two) Pork.
Fell asleep with a electric heater near my feet. Heals looked Like beacon and Smelled Delicious.
Yep Pork.
Dude, ouch! Seriously, the feet? *winces*
Yes, diseases and such with the aftermath of a battle is a grave concern.
Surprisingly, many of the wooden structures aren’t alight with fire, so that’s good in some ways.
It’s the cooking smells that’s going to be worrisome.
Pigroast?
It’s the aftermath of a massive post wedding party?
Tiff’s face in the last panel is really weird.
