Scott sorry about this, I don’t usually do the spelling thing but ‘vomiting’ with a double t was/is one of my top pet hates from work.

@Shan: sounds like an interesting work place you have there.
Just hospitals. The number of people who write it down with two t’s in the notes are still a lot more than I expected. I’m not having a problem with Scott, it’s just that those people deal a lot more with it than cartoonists (at least I hope so!) so they should be getting the spelling right.
@Shan – dang it, I even THOUGHT it looked funny and then forgot to check. Should be fixed now, thanks for the catch!
Believe me, it’s like the bogeyman I can never escape for long unfortunately, that particular incorrect spelling has been following me everywhere I work, so I know it by sight (apparently it’s the most common way to do so at 42% according to a source on the Internet I saw).
At least it beats actual vomit and do I have some stories I’m not going to tell you or anyone else here (at least if I want to be able to ever come back).

I really like how the light effect came out in that last panel. It definitely looks bright, but fortunately I have not been drinking, so it doesn’t make me want to vomitt.

It was also something I used to say or at least think when I emerged into the sun after working night shift and I’ve never even seen Gremlins. I think it’s also a perfectly natural reaction to the destructive power of the sun, especially on those of us effectively working in a cave for years on end.

Yes, well, those of us who are awake and have had coffee want to put an electromagnetic harness on it and turn it into a fusion drive so we can fly the solar system around the galaxy at will.

I’m in Australia. We’re always awake before most of the rest of you.
Also since most of our wildlife is trying to kill us on a regular basis, we’re probably also awake long after most of you have gone back to sleep also.
@Shan: I was speaking of “dawn” and “awake” not in the daily sense, but the millennial sense you referenced with “since the dawn of time”.
(There’s also a resonance with “The Dream Time”, although that itself seems to be one of those academic mistranslations that has proven to have its own power, to the point where it has currency in the indigenous culture at least as great as the traditional concept, which was closer to “eternity”.)
If you’re talking in the millennial sense, then that’s an awful lot of coffee.
The widespread consumption of coffee and tobacco in Europe coinciding with the Enlightenment and Renaissance has oft been noted.
So, yeah, lots and lots of coffee.
