I think this is the first time I have ever seen an in-universe explanation of why all the womenfolk of the realm are improbably photogenic. But that’s why they call it “fantasy”… 😀
I hope there’s more of a point to this story then simply providing an in world reason why every woman in the comic is built like a supermodel/porn star.
Also the seamstress would have been wiser to craft a spellsong that would change her dresses to fit the wearers once given.
But then maybe that would be less interesting a narration.
I’m gonna have to join the crowd from the previous strips, and point out that the princess wouldn’t fit in any of those dresses. She’s got quite the different size.
Also, while this explains the women, aside from Niels and Bohr, most of the men are in roughly the same size as well.
Be a Producer!Your name/title with an optional SFW hyperlink will be posted prominently HERE following the close of the month! You’ll also receive monthly mailings from Exiern’s author, Scott T. Hicken!
AH ha! The Procrustean seamstress!
And that dear friends is the difference between a Seamstress and a Designer.
Wait so are you saying she sung a song that made every woman share the same body as her? Dang!

Yikes…. o_o And the effects have remained in effect for all this time?
This is why you should be really careful about who you teach to use magic.
I’d much, much rather be subject to her effect than that of Procrustes.
She sang the song “no fatties” with a backup chorus of dudebros.
And every woman in the land became fat and self-loathing…….
Wait a minute: I think i just discovered the origins of Western Feminism!
Genius!

@Ben – I promise there is something bigger than this that will be presenting itself when we return to Typh and the others.
Also, sorry for the delay in approving comments, I’ve had internet troubles AND the website is no longer emailing me with an alert.
@Scott No problem. It’s not that’s it’s not interesting, just not interesting to break up an ongoing storyline for unless there was more roo it.
@Ben – Look out! I think Scott just cast a Scooby spell on you.
@Ben and O. B. Juan:
Rooby Rooby Roo!

@Cerulean: You don’t need to be wise to be powerful…. This strip neatly confirms that!

Gallstone:- that would imply the Seamsinger was particularly smart, or thought things through first 😛
Oops, meant to have been directed at Cerulean Lion 🙁
Once upon a chime…?
So the simple answer is “A wizard did it” as to why all women have the same body-type.
