Yeah, time for some more fun with gender swaps, and then, by Church law, they’re going to be silenced “tried” and executed. BRILLIANT. Great way to cut the corruption out of the church of Rem.
I don’t see them being turned into women. When Thomas and the spelllsingers got turned into women it was because they were trying to end the curse, not kill or harm with spellsong. It was explained that the curse defends itself.
Faden DID try to kill with spellsong, and he stayed male.
If you want to cite the water spirit turning, do remember that spellsinging wasn’t involved when he tried to kill Typh but changed anyway. The male spellsinger that got changed was told it might have been some kind of “arcane contamination.” Maybe the curse was affected by the water spirit’s domain? In any case, the sex change of the singer happened before any spellsong was used.
Well, now Urtica has the casus belli to take the soldiery to them… Targeting the Alliance for reprisal of someone who is no longer a member of his court was a bad idea.
Typh will probably go cuisinart on them first though…
She Defeated Faden dark lord that can crush these clowns all together . If you look back this is not Vengeance nor Greed or Revenge but Justice. Tiff fighting for Justice and the Innocent. Guess What I think? That the Plus 2 long swords about to turn HOLY AVENGER! I think we are just going to see Northwind in action Unleashed for the first time. And we will see if its Legends true. As for water spirit tiff wished him best.
This… this was BRILLIANT on Typh’s part. He has quit. Officially he is acting entirely on his own. And officially he is a singular individual with the means to SLAUGHTER, or at least disable and render helpless, the corrupt leadership of the Church of Rem in its entirety. They’re attacking him, he’ll be defending himself in kind… afterwards Urtica can just pardon him and offer him his job back. This is beautiful!
Now where is Tiff hiding the unicorn hair, that’s the stuff that offers some magical shielding from evil magic…and knowingly protecting an evil SOB like Coriander would likely count here.
[just shakes head in wonder] What is wrong with them… Did the guy rape them so often they now think they’re in love with the prick or something?
I can not imagine Me jumping on the “my rapist is the victim” band-wagon. Me, I’d toss the bastard to the wolves if I wasn’t worried it would poison the Wolves.
This sort of thing always boggles my mind when I read or see something like it.
Well, I suppose… If that was all you ever knew, it might screw your head around the other way to the point of you thinking something like this was right.
Coriander was not the only high official in that book. Given http://www.exiern.com/2015/12/01/prove-it/, what’s wrong with them is that the four who are going on attack were also listed. Their only chance to survive is to go on the offensive and somehow win. By framing it as a Church of Rem vs. the Alliance, they hope they can get some support from the innocent of their church. Too bad for them they have to first go up against a barbarian with a magic sword and unicorn hair, as well as a baby dragon (Typhan-Knee being the “only” one who could show Alicia what she wants), and don’t know about the sword’s magic, the unicorn hair, or the baby dragon involvement – even though Typhan-Knee’s stance should be a dead giveaway of one of those points. That said, I thought there were more guilty clerics around than that…
As far as getting her job back right away – no. She has a date with Alicia first. Which is convenient in the sense that the church will need some time to adjust – probably to purge some additional corruption – before it’d be safe to re-hire Typhan-Knee.
Bob-AW I don’t think it’s the unicorn hair that grants Typhan-Knee immunity from some magics. If I am remembering correctly, Typhan-Knee has other enchantments placed upon him by the shaman. Which is one reason why with the presence of the Unicorn and those enchantments Faden had to use such an amount of force in his original spell in an attempt to overcome them.
@Mark: In the unicorn character description, it appears that unicorn hair protects from psychic attacks (I had mistaken that with the horn), and the horn protects from dark magic. Had to double check myself.

Why not attack them in their throats so they can’t sing? It worked with Coriander
That’s going to end up so well for them
they just fell into her trap.
She’s going to cut the corruption out f the church.
When they’re dead, does that mean the innocent ones can speak again?
I think atm, the two who “lost their voice” going to feel pretty good about it in the moment.
I see some more women coming out of this.

Obviously they never heard about what happened the last time Spellsingers attempted to sing at Tiff
I really hope that entire church gets burned to the ground over this… In a fantasy setting religion should be especially destroyed..
Look: John, Paul, George, and Ringo!
Does any spell against Typh turn the caster into a woman?
I thought that was only spells that attempted to overcome her curse, and I wouldn’t think trying to kill her would count.

since the world has changed do the same old rules apply?

Doesn’t North Wind grant some kind of magical resistance? I was under the impression that it helped.
Wait for it…
I do hope that the song they are singing includes the line “How many ways can this go wrong?” in it.
Oh my… oh holy… I… wow… just… WOW!

I am guessing Teresa will step in to save Typhan-Knee I’m the next strip.
Or the Knights will step in to save him or everyone.
@50srefuge: No, only when they try to cure his curse. So trying to kill him won’t pass the curse along.
Again, this is likely where Teresa will step in to save him.
Spell singing against a cursed wo(man) and a legendary sword. How hard can it be?
Why do I hear the He-Man fight music pumping with this scene?
I see where this is going… well played, Tiff.
Now where is Tiff hiding the unicorn hair, that’s the stuff that offers some magical shielding from evil magic…and knowingly protecting an evil SOB like Coriander would likely count here.
@Insectoid: If you see this heading to where someone steps in to save him, yeah. Typhan-Knee can reflect the spell otherwise.
BoyZ 2 Men is back again…
Also, “Enter the Dragon”
It’s Sgt. Pepper’s Lonely Hearts Club Band!
We hope you will enjoy the show!
Sgt. Pepper’s Lonely Hearts Club Band!
Sit back and let the evening go!
@Tiffany Miller: Get help.
I see a little silhouetto of a man,
Cor’s a douche, Cor’s a douche, will you do the Fandango?
Thunderbolt and lightning,
Very, very frightening me.
Well, there is the attack that I was expecting. Fighting does not always involve swinging a sword.
My guess: Four new girls. Or else four new castratos.
I didn’t realize at the time that Coriander had spellmuted two of his followers. ..a hopeful sign. Some of them are innocent.
@Tiffany Miller: I don’t agree.
[just shakes head in wonder] What is wrong with them… Did the guy rape them so often they now think they’re in love with the prick or something?

@kstormgemini Have you ever heard of Stockholm Syndrome?

OH, NO!!!
A BUNCH OF NEW WOMEN ARE ABOUT TO BE CREATED!!!
Just kill them already
No comment about Tiff’s initial pronouncement and how much more womanly she looks?

I was thinking Sgt. Peppers’ Lonely Hearts Club Band when I saw these guys.

They seem to be unaware that Typhan Knee has fought with a much greater evil mage and won. These small fries are nothing.
Looks like thr Macarena to me
That’s what I was going to say… Macarena. Or maybe the hokey pokey 🙂
