Did you mean Confident Type? I do like confident Typh.

Personally, don’t see any assholery from Typh

Wait, only prisoners get fed on that yacht? o_O

      Nah. Not that.

So, Typh is demanding that they have the freedom to go where the please, as a free citizen, since he is going into exile willingly, and has proven time and again that they have no intention of fleeing from the group (likely exacerbated by Typh being basically told by King Urtica that he’s untouchable, in a few different ways, most recent of which being that he still has the kingdom’s credit line behind him.)

However, he is also demanding that he is served a meal, just the same as he would have been if he was left in a cell.

They don’t want (or have) to serve Typh, as a free citizen, but he is pointing out that they are, as a ship of the kingdom, required to serve their prisoner meals. And refusal would be against whatever laws this kingdom has, which for some reason protect prisoners from starvation. And since there’s no “prison quality” food around, Typh will just have to eat some of the “good food” they have for the crew.

Does anyone feel sorry for this guy? I hope there’s an actual reason for what is going on here besides the obvious humor.

the king is bound to have known the behavior of this official. odds are he picked this guy just so typh can knock him down a notch or two. open question is if typh actually knows this herself.

really, she is a ward of the *king* not the state, he could have had anyone he wanted be the liason at the dock. so he being treated like this is not an accident.

Well Kings can and normally do leave details like the crewing of ships sent on missions and who is left on watch while in port. But…Urtica is extremely detail oriented with the kind scheming ability you normally have to be a fictional character to possess and he seems to be paying especially close attention to this mission so who knows what he arranged.

I’m still betting he didn’t go so far as to determine which officer would greet Tiff at the ship, but I can’t rule it out.

He* is a ward of the King and the King knew exactly how Typhan-Knee would act.

Honestly, guy should be grateful his arm is still intact. Wasn’t too long ago Typh would have left him broken.

I notice the ‘official’ isn’t getting any backup from the princess.

The Princess knows perfectly well that her father has wheels within wheels in even his most seemingly straightforward actions. She may not have figured out WHAT Urtica is up to, but it is a certainty that he is up to SOMETHING, and probably several somethings.

Let’s face it, if this comic had been a Disney animated series in the 1990s, the Xanatos Gambit would have been named for Urtical.

Given that there is shout out to said character as, “Xanatos, Lord of the Gambit” I think it’s fair to say at least one of the creators is a fan.

Why should she? Typh is entitled to get fed, and she is going on board peacefully

It would appear that whatever Urtica has plans for, Typh is in cahoots and the purchase was intended as a status update to let Urtica know they’re at the docks and all is proceeding as planned.

Either that, or Urtica is trolling Olivia with both barrels.

Come to think of it, why not both? In fact, with Urtica, it’s the most likely option.

“Confidant Typh” Is he a priest or a lawyer now?

Or was that supposed to be “Confident Typh?”
