Is it just me, or does she have something personal against Typh? o_O

Why does the navy uniform look Victorian while the rest of the world seems to be in the high middle ages?
This whole town looks victorian. And there were regions that look from nearly the beginning of the story.
I’d say it was more Georgian than Victorian. And it was still quite common in the 18th century to still see late medieval style buildings. Back then, they didn’t knock old buildings down for redevelopment projects, they waited for them to fall down or be destroyed in war/fire/disaster/etc., before deciding to build something else in its place.
Despite appearances, none of the world we’ve seen so far appears to have passed the pre-industrial stage of development.
I’m definitely looking at a keeper.
Why do I get such a strong Captain Amelia (Treasure Planet) vibe from this?
Just speculation, but if Captain Roh is tough but fair. Typh will probably respect her even if the initial encounter starts with them butting heads.
Typh has a low threshold for bullshit, weather that be entitled a!!!!!!s throwing their weight around, or people who talk the talk but do not walk the walk. Someone who stands up to her, but can give good (logical/practical) reasons for doing so, is a type of person who would meet with her approval.
Of course all of this depends of me reading BOTH Roh’s character, and what Typh is doing here correctly.
Captain Roh reminds me more of Captain Janeway.
