I know the text looks…weird…small…fuzzy? I have to run to work but will look into a solution as soon as I am free.

I found the lettering far too small to read on this. Sorry. Can you do what Giant Girl Adventures does with their comics and have a way to embiggen it by clicking on the comic?

I gotta say though, I’m not digging the new direction in general. It is a bit dull. Bring Faden back and the wacky hijinks, please.

The text looks fine if you right-click on the image and select “Open image in new tab”…

So many tiny words. So little actually said.

Little actually said? Peonie personally subverted most of the discussion of her “older and wiser” development by flashing a hint of the “old P-Cups” with that statement about her discomfort in her dress. That, or she has a date…still, same old P-Cups.

Urtica also divulged that he’s coordinating with the dragon concerning Typh, possibly setting her up for betrayal, and brought the dragon under his wing (excuse the pun), temporarily at least. So…character establishment, new possible alliance, intrigue. I’d say this comic moved things forward a bit, if you’re patient enough to work through the text.

Peonie left in the first panel. I was speaking about this one strip.

All that happens is a threat, a rebuttal to the threat, and Tiff is going somewhere specific, unspecified as of yet.

It’s fuzzy because it is a JPEG. JPEGs are not designed for text, and the compression algorithms make any text inside one fuzzy. I recommend using a PNG instead, or some other lossless format.

This is most intriguing. I wonder what Urtica’s agenda is and how he’s planning to handle this dragon lady. Knowing who we’re dealing with, he probably planned for this encounter several days in advance.

Is it me, or does that dress make Peony seem a bit… deflated? I can imagine why that would make her uncomfortable.

I wonder if there’s a meaning behind how Urtica’s siting posture.

    Panel 4: “I couldn’t possible have some way…” — should be “I couldn’t possibly have some way…”

@Larathiel Thank you- opening in new page and then clicking to make larger- perfect. Still waiting like others, though perhaps not as fervently, for- hmm- something to move along. I have a feeling this would all make a splendid graphic novel- I enjoy this artist much more- but the storyline in small doses, something gets lost. Perhaps it feels this way since this is relatively new territory without a direct line to prior events without reading the whole thing all over again.

aside- Yes having your chest bound up like that can get rather uncomfortable after a while- but is helpful in swordplay and softball.

Text is definetly a bit too small. Opening the image itself in a seperate tab and zooming in does help a lot.
Whoever made this page propably underestimated the downscaling in the published format.

And now it’s time to play Scott’s least favorite game – “Can he fit at 70 font the same text he accidentally fit at size 40?”

Normally I open up a previous page and make sure I use 70 font, so that the text is legible. However, for whatever, reason I missed that very important step this time. Which is why the words are so hard to read. That was just an accident on my part, not an intended change.

When I see I’ve written more than what will fit comfortably on the page I trim the fat and tighten up the dialogue to fit the free space. Since everything had mysteriously fit (should have been my first clue) I didn’t trim anything this time. But since I had already posted all this I felt I should keep it, so some people didn’t wonder if what was struck was still part of the story. Yes, this is important stuff. We’ll be out of the castle and onto new fun adventures soon! Shenanigans are coming shortly!

Anyhoo, I’ve uploaded the replacement page into the system and it should be appearing soon. You may need to refresh the page a few times to get it to show. If people are still having trouble when I get back from work I’ll try again.

Ahh, yes, the page force-zooms the image to much smaller size. This is bad design, you should have a zoom button that is VERY visible.

I have to say I like the new style. I also liked the old art as well.
It is nice to see the princess with human dimensions as well. It is clear she still possess vast tracks of land. More than enough to keep captain Phil happy. But she also looks like she can swing a sword with out losing her balance due to a comical over sized chest.

I thought the dragon hive-mind was supposed to be hyper-intelligent.

I am wondering if the Decay has its own Collective.
