That is of course until you capture one alive and figure out the basics of its language through experimentation or it learns yours through immersion, of course there is the option to use a telepathic based means in this world, that would make forming a translation much simpler

@ Brandi – That’s because Tiff clearly recognizes that as a magical, flying, armor plated, fire breathing, hyper-intelligent killing machine, the dragon is an excellent example of superior FIRE-power. Or as LTC Kilgore puts it “I love the smell of napalm in the morning.”
What Princess dose not get is that Tiff is half jakes and thinking BBQ War’Tog and Olivia simply not joking nor sees the joke.
Peonie, it _is_funny. Remember, Tiff found being sucker-punched by the King funny. Barbarian humor.
If violence hasn’t solved your problem you obviously either haven’t hit it hard enough or often enough, maybe both…
Or it hits harder than you do and s strategic retreat is what is called for, just keep an eye out for likely weapons, rocks, large tree branches at the right height….that sort of thing.
Nothin’ more peaceful than a dead man.
