Well, just going back to last episode’s discussion about where Typh is going personally. To be honest, I kind of hope this is like Doctor Who and we never quite get to the final destination. There’s plenty more stories to tell.
However, as for how Typh ends up:
1) Not only ends up with the body he’s got, ultimately ends decides to become female, having the body of one for long enough has changed him to that point. Gender is I guess a state of mind. The next question though, is it even possible for someone to consciously ever do that?
2) Gets his body back eventually to go with his brain. If that happens, I hope there’s at least one page with a picture of him the size that’s shown already which is just him really thinking about it before pressing the button, drinking the potion or whatever. After all, part of what makes him him now is also how people around him react. Unavoidably, if his body changes back, that’s going to change because people’s perceptions will change no matter how they try not to.
3) Third possibility (?). Decides to stay male but keeps his current body, possibly for the above reason, he doesn’t want to risk upsetting the way people see him, he just feels/knows it would negative if he did and he’d lose more than he’d gain. I guess it is possible, some people actually do this in real life, though I’m not entirely sure of the logistics myself.
Also not sure how you’d represent it either but it’d make it a different outcome to most of these, where the person either (seems to) simply changes back/or not.
Although she’s probably snoring and gargling in a quite unseemly fashion.
Shan, about prep: Sometimes you just have to let the pot stew all by itself, no stirring.
In this case , they have the evidence they need, in the form of the journal. Now they need to wait for the right moment–after the wedding, Ima guessing.
Anything thing else they do risks attracting attention and giving away the game. Acting natural, following routine, is the best course.
You’re missing a real possibility. Typh could end up gender-fluid. Literally as well as mentally.
We saw when she was trying to be girly how her form became less muscular. Then how it came back when she decided enough was enough. She/He could end up in a state where he switches back and forth.
finally the 10 foot pole the party has been dragging around gets used. Now i wonder when the 50′ of rope, mallet and iron spikes and tinder box will make a appearance in the story.
Holy crap! We’ve finally moved on from Formulation and into a new arc! Damn, feels like we’ve been in Formulation for years. Which we probably have. lol
Well, that’s his present state already, he’s in a state of flux. The Deacon says though that once he picks a theme and runs with it, he’ll be locked into it which actually knocks out a few of the options I suggested too, now that I think about it.
One thing I’ve been wondering. How big do you think the audience is for this epic in the making. Going by the Patreon sponsors, I figure there’s at least 166 (though things are never quite that simple in practice) but I suspect there might be a few more on top of that.
Anyone else really hoping the king and queen thing really doesn’t happen? I’m looking forward to seeing how this goes but Teresa as queen really doesn’t make a great deal of sense…
I think Terry and Urtica would make a great King and Queen, politically, but I’m not sure either wants to be tied down. Terry especially likely doesn’t want to be under anyone’s hand.

I know for sure at least some of these are coming in some form because I asked.
Peonie’s enhanced perceptions. Did she create the Mingalows for starters?

A visit to the Dark Reflections universe.
Are Typh’s three sisters going to wink back into existence due to reality flux?
The return of the Fracture (or at least more about what their plan was).

Some of these are also at least in the concept/consideration stage.
You assume Urtica would be in the wrong by killing his wife. We’ve already seen that Urt can be a bit of a Magnificent Bastard when it comes to his reign, but even the best of rulers have to make decisions based on politics. Perhaps he discovered his wife was committing treason and betraying them to a rival country. Revealing that the Queen had betrayed the country would be a scandal that would weaken his position and undermine faith in the throne, so he quietly “disappeared” her. He wouldn’t want to reveal it to Peonie because he wanted to leave her with good memories of her mother. Heavy is the brow that wears the crown.
Of course it’s also possible the king had nothing to do with it, after all Faden kidnapped Peonie from inside the castle itself I believe. Also, people are always breaking in. Maybe something happened to the queen one of those times?

As much fun as the last few pages have been, good to see we’re back on the main plot.
Keeping in mind the plan has been to overthrow one of the most powerful institutions in the land, here’s a rundown of what the gang’s been up to.
Peonie and Phi: Boning.
Niels and Bohr: Drinking.
Typh: Drunk
King and Teresa: Kinging and Queening (presumably)
Unicorn: Eating the flowerbeds.
On the surface of it, not the best preparation for what they’re about to do from most of them.
Yet another top class page with this artwork too. I note the return of the pokinator.
Ok Typh looks stunning here. Amazing page. :3
Faden’s knowledge of alarm clocks would have come in handy at this point.
http://www.exiern.com/2005/10/29/wakeup/
Knowing him though, it’d probably be an evil alarm clock.
I hope that’s a long stick.
Peonie, this time, you don’t have the benefit of nice iron bars in the way.

10 foot POLE!
Beautiful page of a beautiful girl.
Although she’s probably snoring and gargling in a quite unseemly fashion.

Didn’t Peonie say something about how much fun it is to poke Typh with a stick?
Shan, all alarm clocks are evil…
That’s right … poke from a distance …
(using the proverbial 10 foot pole? “Wouldn’t poke her with a 10 foot pole … OKAY – use a 11 foot pole!)
Shan,
You’re missing a real possibility. Typh could end up gender-fluid. Literally as well as mentally.
We saw when she was trying to be girly how her form became less muscular. Then how it came back when she decided enough was enough. She/He could end up in a state where he switches back and forth.
It would be hell on clothing…
finally the 10 foot pole the party has been dragging around gets used. Now i wonder when the 50′ of rope, mallet and iron spikes and tinder box will make a appearance in the story.
@Bad Taiming71: Peonie and Phi will take care of that rope, don’t worry about that.
@ CptNerd
Point taken.
It’s one thing to leave the pot to stew, it’s another to leave the stove unattended.
Typh has like the most amazing head of hair btw.
Holy crap! We’ve finally moved on from Formulation and into a new arc! Damn, feels like we’ve been in Formulation for years. Which we probably have. lol
How many mornings did it take for Princess P-cups to learn to use a ten-foot pole to poke Tiff with to wake her? 😀
@ Vorlonagent

http://www.exiern.com/2011/06/13/thats-to-be-expected/
Mind you, it seemed like the king already knew that from this:
http://www.exiern.com/2010/12/14/curse-explained/
However, it looks like he missed on some of the finer detail about what kind of woman Typh could have ended up like, hence the misunderstanding.
(and the possible near poisoning as a result)
She would have woken up faster if you just said someone was stealing her sword.
One thing I’ve been wondering. How big do you think the audience is for this epic in the making. Going by the Patreon sponsors, I figure there’s at least 166 (though things are never quite that simple in practice) but I suspect there might be a few more on top of that.
Er … 168 I mean. The more the better – as long as they’re around for the start of the month.
They seem like traditionalists. I think they’ll go through with the marriage for real regardless of original main intent.
However, since Peonie’s mother “disappeared” as opposed to confirmed dead, that’s definitely code for “will be back”.
Whomever is poking Typhan-Knee with that stick better hope he doesn’t take it and break it on em.
@Shan
“Dissapeared” could also be code for “Urtica had her killed, but not publically, and Peonie doesn’t know”.
That still doesn’t rule out a return in the sense that that plot point would eventually rear its head again.
I have to say, I’m with Shan on “disappeared”. And in the strong sense that she’s still alive and will return in person, not just as a plot point.
(If for no other reason than I rather like Urtica, and that Peonie would likely disavowher mother’s killer. That would
[aargh, mousing glitch prematurely clicked “POST”]
Peonie would likely disavow her mother’s killer, and that would introduce an ugly plot complication.
Well, things on the horizon (one day):
Pip
Peonie’s mother
Typh finally gets in a relationship with somebody.
Typh has to make a choice about changing back or not.
Present Doom guy
Faden
That whole necklace business
Denver
Alicia
Dark Tiffany
I know for sure at least some of these are coming in some form because I asked.
Nearly forgot some of the possibles:
Peonie’s enhanced perceptions. Did she create the Mingalows for starters?
A visit to our world.
A visit to the Dark Reflections universe.
Are Typh’s three sisters going to wink back into existence due to reality flux?
The return of the Fracture (or at least more about what their plan was).
… more I’ll probably think of later if the All Squirrel allows it …
Some of these are also at least in the concept/consideration stage.
Typh looks gorgeous in these two panes—and that’s what’s wrong with them. Seriously, no one looks that good in the throes of a hangover—NO ONE.
Typh’s a magical girl, remember?
Oh wait, a better reference would have been that Typh’s an Impossible Girl, like a certain Clara Oswald …
Hark! Is that a 10 ft pole?
@50srefugee
You assume Urtica would be in the wrong by killing his wife. Not a 10 foot pole. This one goes to 11!
It’s the spinal tap!
Typh moves to the beat of a different drum (played by someone who *isn’t* exploding all the time).
When poking hungover grinches, you need a pole that’s longer than 21 and 1/2 feet.
You still need a firearm to go with the 21 foot rule. Still wouldn’t fancy Peonie’s chances against an enraged Typh even if she had a gun either.
