@ Gallstone. That’s not murder, that’s a (singing) duel to the death. A trial by combat, and Theresa now has more reason than most to want this guy dead.
I wonder what kind of range these two have? If the magic used by the Church is based on music then only the best singers have any chance of gaining any rank in the Church. Teresa is certainly younger than Coriander, so her skill in relation to his may be lesser, but that may be offset by her having more energy and stamina.
However, I’m reminded of the adage about “old age and treachery…”
So her surprise was due to calling for a obscure option that hasn’t been used in a long time, and that it’s an act of desperation on Father Pervy’s part. But she’s willing to throw down if he is.
Just a side note, has anyone noticed that without the ponytail Teresa look a lot like Typh? Almost like they could pass as sisters. Bad thing is, I don’t know which of the two that would be more insulting to…

hehe, I love her logic, and I hope for her luck.
Put that bitchiness and cattiness to the best of uses!
I see murder in her eyes…

Hey, since the wedding was interrupted, i guess Teresa isn’t the Queen yet?
Never underestimate the power of a high soprano. They will blow your socks off…

Are they going to duet/duel now? or will they go practice their parts first?
I’m psyched for this. Also, it reminded me of Faden’s “Death Chant”. That last panel… <3

And Coriander wins.
Highly unlikely he’d win. Considering his crimes and all.
Oh, so that was his plan: hoping that she would not accept, thus letting him walk away
Him being guilty or not has nothing to do with it: it comes down to which of them is the better Singer
Something tells me her pretty dress is going to be messed up. Unless it is like a battle of the Schwarts from space balls. I would be down with that.

So, where’s the Thursday strip? Getting bogged down, Scott?
S!!t, do I have the wrong week?
Frith Ra, How did you come to the conclusion that Teresa is younger? She may look younger now but was an old man before the spell.
@Francisco, where did you get the idea Teresa was an old man?
@Chaucer59:
Brother Thomas isn’t exactly young
Now we dance…
