No, I suspect Olivia is part of a group who have taken over the kingdom having somehow out foxed the wily king. He is a prisoner of this “floating hq” plan he was convinced was necessary.
See, she’s evil! I mean she’s a bureaucrat, which is about as evil as one can get. Anyway, I got the jump and started disliking her two days ago, and now I hate her!

@Tiger. Technically, she works for Theresa who does, on occasion, come across as a massive prick. Don’t be too surprised if she’s a bit … abrasive. Still, she’s right. “As ‘X,’ I should know where ‘important political figure’ is” has brought down a great many countries who revealed the figure’s location to a relative only to have that relative compromised one way or another by the enemy.
Peonie’s cleavage expands as her temper worsens, doesn’t it…? ^^;

You know Poenie always told how because of the constitution she has very limited Powers. But never Stops her Dad. Part of that is because his power limited Much Like the Royals of Britain, The Secret Services is sworn to the Crown. Not Parlement, Similarly the Right to Pardon(even write a Letter of Explanation like in the three musketeers) and Banish(deport) are still in the Crowns hands. I am not so certain Peonies as weak as she seems. I mean would the Arrest her or Even try ans stop her if she killed the woman?
But there is besides all that the real possibility the women’s lying, either a coup and her Father is a Prisoner (this woman that very new behind it) or he is Kidnapped and this Womans Loyal but Hiding it for the sake of the Nation. In ether case I agree with Poenie.

Jonathan Wint: good points, but, like with The 3 Mouseketeers, those soldiers with Ms Palms may be a ‘private’ army loyal to the Queen (and by extension, her). As for where Bohrs’ ultimate loyalty lies, depends on what happened when he got patched back together again, would have been the perfect time to slip in an ‘over-ride’/’Code 69’

I’m not sure I would trust a “new queen” in Peonie’s position. Consider that Peonie is not only the King’s Daughter, but also the Heir Apparent. Also to consider that the last thing that she heard from the king is that he was planning to marry Typhan-knee and make her the next queen. Not that he can’t change his mind, but I would be wary of such changes in her position.
The “new queen” might be just as much a hostage or compeled to go along with thing because the King is a Prisoner.
Scott since this story seems to be at least a 1000 years old.. here is the anomaly.. spectacles were invented in late 13th centruy and the ones you (or Shipeng) put on Olivia are a distinct 20th century. Just an observation!
I have this strong feeling that the next strip would contain a fair amount of violence or a strong effort to prevent it if Peonies face is any clue to go by.

For the record I alway suspected Exiern was created by Earthlings That the Travelers and The Authority Are from a Earth in the Distant future. As Faden used to make comments about things and pop culture Tiff never heard of but wear common Earth stuff and He was the Expert on The Travelers and The Authority.
I figured Exiern either located in a alternate dimension or in cyberspace

@Guesticus to true they now know the Greeks had basic Mechanical Computers and Giant Mechanical Steampunk Puppet Gods and Holy water Vending Machines. 10 years ago that would been as crazy as UFOs and Atlantis and Bigfoot. Plages Christianity Barbarians Burning of the Library of Alexandria. Most People have no Idea what was lost we are only starting to get a Idea now. I heard One Archaeological Professor Claim he thought the Greeks wear the Technological Equals of the 17 century England.
And they have found batteries in Egypt. Old Egypt. I think there is much about ancient Earth that we do not understand because we lost the knowledge when civilizations collapsed. The collapse of the Bronze Age civilizations around 1200 BC ended the known world. The collapse of the Roman Empire around 400 AD saw everything we knew come to ruin. The Black Death of the 1300s that killed one third of Europe in general and 50% of England’s population. The small pox, measles, and influenza plagues that killed 95% of the local Americans, 50% of the Australians, a third of the Hawaiians.
So many civilizations have literally died out. How much did they know that we have lost?
The best Example of this I ever saw was a ceramic bead, No one has any Idea who made it but when they found it in the 70s there was no known way to manufacturer it at that size.
