Flip The Script
There’s no concise moment to flash back, but let’s just put a reminder here that as a child Typh was taught that anyone not of his tribe was less than human and their life could be snuffed out on a whim if he so chose. Obviously Typh has learned otherwise since then, but it led to some tragic and horrible moments as a child.
I wonder if Typhan-Knee even remembers what he’s being accused of here.
The reasons heroes don’t monologue is because, generally, they don’t have convoluted plans. What they do want to accomplish can usually be boiled down to a single sentence. Or even just 3 words. If your plan needs more then 3 sentences to explain, you’re probably a villain.
On a different note, where did Alicia learn about tropes?
That was the wrong side of the hammer, anyway, Tiff.
She might enjoy calling herself a hero but she seems to be under the illusion that shes in a position where she can actually achieve her goals.
Cant she remember that the person she wants to interrogate currently is being targeted by a crazy spellsinger that wants her superdead which would make her really hard to interrogate and that fighting Tiff right now just makes it super easy for the spellsinger to get a cheap kill in on our favourate barbarian thus rendering any plans to find Denver impossible?
@Fairportfan Maybe our protagonist was just trying to know alicia out so they could get some answers? That would explain why they used that side of the hammer?
It’s possible Typh/Tiff thinks Alica MIGHT not be crazy after all, but there is no way he/she* is going to risk Denver’s life on a MIGHT.
(fictional character gets looser gender pronouns applications than real people, real people DO get their prefered pronouns used but I figure I can be forgiven a little wishful thinking in regards to FICTIONAL characters)
Two things, Alicia.
1.) Heroes don’t call themselves that. Any that do are actually villains, but simply delude themselves otherwise.
2.) Who the heck told you that Typh is a “child killer.” Sure, Typh’s killed WOMEN for failing to arouse him, but when did he, or she, kill children? Even IF Typh killed children, whoever told you could be lying.
Batman and Soupcan and Wonder Bewbs all call themselves heroes, that must make them villains!!!
@The passing Critic: She certainly picked a poor time to attack Typhan-Knee, that’s for sure.
Has Typh killed any baby dragons? Technically they would look like humans… and probably act like real jerks… so… it’s possible…
@Guesticus At one point, each of them /were/ villains. So… Yeah. They do most of their heroism when they /don’t/ call themselves heroes. Or better yet, when they pretend to be the villain.
When exactly in this world did they invent the ‘telegraph’? Or can the dragon group consciousness peer into different realities?
Doesn’t the curse shape Tiff into her image of self? And if she believes she can kick Alicia’s posterior, wouldn’t it work toward making it so?
I love how deliberately self-conscious this story is, lol.
O.B. Juan – It’s like the opening of Empire Strikes Back with Han going looking for Luke: “Your tauntaun will freeze up before you hit the first marker!
Han Solo: Then I’ll see you in hell!
Where?
What makes you think these characters are speaking English? The expressions they use are just translated to analogues we can connect with, hmm?
