Swords, Sorcery, And Then Some!
Howdy, New Readers! Thanks for reading Exiern!
Written by Scott T. Hicken with art by Antipus, the comic updates Mondays. Please check out the Archive to enjoy the earlier adventures of Typh and Peonie!
Exiern contains mature themes and is best for readers 18+.
There you go, Alicia, proof positive, by your own “logic” that you’re the villain. Prepare to lose your head, unless Ms. murder witch shows up. Oh, and for bonus karma, Alicia’s about to get killed by her own blade too.
I too thought the alert of impending doom was a warning from Typh. Glad to find out otherwise. Makes me respect her more that she was willing to kill without warning.
So wait, is Alicia lying, (or being manipulated) or have the writers retconned how the curse/spell works again (seems that every time a new writer takes over the comic the nature of the spell gets changed)?
Unintended consequences–Born-female Tiff never meets Princess P-cups, the Bishop (or high priest, or whoever) is never caught and continues his predations, and the Luminary Alliance falls to a deranged power mad Church. Oh, and Terry stays a frustrated minor priest, and the Unicorn is never freed.
And now we ask the question: is the damage male-Tiff caused worth the good done by changed-Tiff?
@Wilren Talking is only a free action if it’s just a few words – something which can be said within 6-10 seconds (typical length of a combat round in most systems). What Alicia is saying is considerably longer than 10 seconds’ worth of speech….
Clearly Alicia doesn’t understand alternate realities.
with or with out Typh, those raids still would have happened, those children still would have died, another hero would have saved the princess, and Denver would have found another hero to take him into the woods. That other hero might not have been a virgin, and so the unicorn wouldn’t have accompanied him and the princess would have been mind controlled by Faden in the forest. The only thing removing Typh would do, would be removing all the good Typh has done.
Except it was Typhan-Knee who captured Fayden, who in turn was infinitely worse than anything Typhan-Knee could ever be. Unmaking him would mean that Fayden never gets captured.
That sort of undoing might have been what the spell was attempting at first, but as with the time it allowed Tiff to be male in order to say goodbye to his mother, its ‘plan’ has distinctly changed to redeeming the current Tiff.
Be a Producer!Your name/title with an optional SFW hyperlink will be posted prominently HERE following the close of the month! You’ll also receive monthly mailings from Exiern’s author, Scott T. Hicken!
Don’t give up the free shot just to let her know it is on.
Note to self: Talking is NOT a free action in the Exiernverse.
“You caught me monologuing , you sly dog you!”
Yeah, yeah, yeah. We get the idea … but what if it’s Alicia that is removed from this world first?
Then what happen during the World Remake?
It’s not really atoning if you erase the mistake.
Hmyes. Alicia forgot to leave out the part where she still wants to murder Denver, who has helped Typhan-Knee in so many ways.

Typh born female? Probably wind up repeatedly raped by “daddy dearest.”
Not exactly a promising thought there.
oh man that ripple effect would probably destroy the world much like Faden wants
@ Riniko:
That wasn’t Typh saying that. That was Alicia’s ‘Passenger’. It often makes snide remarks like on this page: http://www.exiern.com/2016/12/20/dragon-burns/

I also kinda hope Tiff doesn’t kill Alicia, just pinks her and demonstrates mercy.
A good maiming would do just as well.
well we never saw what tiff was like before the princess mission except selected flashbacks.
Ambaryerno:- Alicia is being manipulated by Faden (most likely the ‘Passenger) into carrying out his ‘revenge’

Here’s the really important question:
Typh doesn’t use a sword any more. Alicia doesn’t need a sword.
So, where did that sword come from?
Alicia is a skillful lair, but she’s still a liar. She’s also foolish to monologue like that.
Also yay for Typh.
@kathucka It’s Alicia’s sword.
But if Typh had never been born then her brother would have fallen through the ice and Mr. Potter would have taken over the Building and Loan, and….
Oh wait, wrong movie.
@Jon Not anymore its Tiffs Sword…Hammer was a stupid choice for her.

Is that a Kilij or a Simitar ?
It’s a Scimitar.
