The water creature? (I’ve forgotten the proper term: the one who drowned people as sacrifice to the gods). Didn’t he/she die where told the gods were gone?
Fairly sure, the kid is trapped inside her (or she is trapped in the kid), after the pool exploded, and you saw one climbing out, you saw the other one reflected in a puddle
@Guesticus: the kid climbed out, having been transformed to female.
It is possible, especially in /this/ story, that the Neried was trapped inside the kid.
Actually, Nereids are just sea nymphs. They aren’t known for drowning men.
Morgens, Morgans or Mari-Morgans are Welsh and Breton water spirits that drown men.
Rusalki are Slavic spirits of women, who drowned or committed suicide in water, or children who also drowned. They are also known to lure men into their pond or lake and drown them.
I love her dedication to hair censorship. She could keep the hair out of her eyes by putting her hair behind her shoulders, but no. Using her hair as a covering for her breasts is a lifestyle and if that means perpetually walking around holding her hair up and out of her eyes so be it!
I don’t get the reaction of the guy into the background. If every woman is incredibly beautiful and fits ones body type, then surely a bare back is not going to produce that level of surprise.
Well, if he saw her coming down the street, he’d be getting a front view. If he objected to toplessness then he might turn away.
At which point when she enters the shop he’s already turned the other way.
Or he might just happen to be looking the other way and not notice her at all.
But that’s not as interesting so that’s not what happened.

She seems nice…
tall, blonde and confident, that how I like my women… though redhair is also a great choice.
Wasnt he dark haired last time we seen him? nad can he even leave his pond?

It all depends on whether you are attending the end of the world as cause, victim, or spectator.
@RBZ
That sounds like a better game than Marry Screw Kill.
@Cerulean Lion, I believe the creature we are thinking of is called a “Nereid”
And I think that ended with her exploding and the kid she was drowning getting transformed to look like her.

Knew that someone was trapped in the others body, just couldn’t remember which into whom

Maybe he’s upset about the ‘end of the world’ comment.
Maybe it’s not just that it’s a bare back and more that “Hey, look at that topless woman”?
I’m pretty sure your average woman doesn’t walk down the street topless every day.
Also, is that supposed to be two voices in the speech bubble? One for the yellow top half and one for the blue bottom half?
Yet how would he know she is topless? Her hair covers her entire back, he can only see her from the rear.
If he had followed her, then he wouldn’t be surprised at her being topless but be more of a letching look.
Well, if he saw her coming down the street, he’d be getting a front view. If he objected to toplessness then he might turn away.
