Hmm, is Lici slow on the uptake or just didn’t hear the question?
Shouldn’t she have said “Why?”? And no, that should not be changed (unless she really should have said “Why?”)
Just to clarify: ‘What?’ implies she didn’t hear or understand the question, ‘Why?’ would be she heard and understood and wants to know Tiff’s answer
Personally? Looking forward to finding out the answer 😀
@Gromnir
I’m guessing we’ll find out what Lici’s motives are as the chapter goes on; as she said, she isn’t big on expository monologues. People are capable of committing pretty heinous acts if they convince themselves it’s for some “greater good,” up to and including fratricide.
Then again, being part of the dragon hive-mind might come with a serious price, and she thinks he’s be better off if he isn’t forced to endure it. Or there might be a rule that members of the same brood must fight each other to keep their bloodlines strong. Either way, it will be interesting learning more about this world’s dragon culture.
Isn’t this the same Alicia who single-handedly slaughtered a band of armed highwaymen, whose larval brother pounded a mingalow into dog food?
Her game is slipping.
Interesting. It might be that she is overheating or reaching some other limit. She said herself that “Dragonlings are not resistant to fire”. Yet there is clearly some fire forming in her stomach on this and the previous page. If she lacks resistance to it, she might actually kill herself if that goes on.
And having this kind of weakness means you carry a weapon, regardless how powerfull you physically are.
Healthy and fit people are able to twist, in fact, people are designed to be able to do that, if you are not able to, then there is something wrong with you
@Guesticus “What?” makes more sense if Alicia is less interested in the answer to the question, and more interested in why that question is even coming up. As in “What are you trying to say, exactly?”
Be a Producer!Your name/title with an optional SFW hyperlink will be posted prominently HERE following the close of the month! You’ll also receive monthly mailings from Exiern’s author, Scott T. Hicken!
Have we skipped ahead one?
This seems like a reference to her conversation with the king, but Tiff wouldn’t be aware of that, especially of the part that was in Alicia’s head
Anyone else confused?
Damn it, the wrong page got up loaded.
Anyone who came by before 4:15am ET, if you clear your image cache and reload you will get the correct page. Also, there’s this for reference; http://www.exiern.com/2017/04/19/traveling-talk/

@Guesticus. “What?” is also a common outburst when surprised, confused, or angered. Right now, Alicia is all three.
Is there a point to this? Why does she want to kill her brother so badly? How does that stand in line with anything resembling heroism?

Somebody get Alicia an antacid. In the inset before the last panel it looks like she is working up a serious case of heart ‘burn’.
To answer the question “Why does a dragon carry a sword?”
Because ‘Dragonlance’ was already copyrighted.
Isn’t this the same Alicia who single-handedly slaughtered a band of armed highwaymen, whose larval brother pounded a mingalow into dog food?

Because she’s not yet ‘armour-plated?’
dear god is he twisted ALL the way around under Alicia? His breasts are pointing down, but his knees are up??
Yeah, it doesn’t seem like Typhan-Knee is a comfortable position.
Competent warriors learn to be flexible.
Healthy and fit people are able to twist, in fact, people are designed to be able to do that, if you are not able to, then there is something wrong with you
Twist yes, rotate around as though they’re a barbie doll with a jointed waist, no.
That’s maybe a quarter turn, a 90-degree angle. An athletic person could do that.
Typh is a barbarian warrior. She can do that.
Magic Sword??

@ScottHicken Just for reference Scott, I clicked the ref link in your post and it came up with one of these scam alerts.
