A summary of their exploits would fit in here nicely.

Aren’t Peonie’s fangs adorable? And when did she grow them?

Umm, should Lizard-t!!s’ first line be “And Tyrants who do things like you are still Tyrants.”? o_O

Personally like Kingies stance: he doesn’t care what future generations think of him, as long as there are future generations to think about him

Nah, “Tyrants who do things you like are still tyrants” is a more general way of saying it. For instance, a libertarian may support the policies of Pinochet, but that doesn’t mean Pinochet was a just leader.

Guesticus- not necessarily- If you like what a tyrant does- is that person any less a tyrant? Just becasue you like what is done- does not settle the question- tyrant or no?

Just because someone is a Tyrant, does not make them bad a person
It’s the same thing with a dictator

True to a point. Mainly point of view of those living under the tyrant or dictator. Many begin with good intentions (many do not) and a strong sense that they are right. ‘Absolute power corrupts absolutely’ seems to be something I remember from college, or reading. Sometimes it corrupts those around the power even more, and then it all goes down the rabbit hole.

More often than not, it is, as you say, the ones around the power who get corrupted, usually from jealousy and envy

@Guesticus Ever heard of a manga series sometimes known as Record Of A Fallen Vampire?

So whats wrong with a tyrant ? Our Democracy not doing so hot…

Generally speaking even a corrupt democracy can be changed. Looked at the progressive era for an example. Whereas if a dictatorship stops being benevolent they can only be overthrown with force.

That’s one argument for it anyways.

Ben: no, have never heard of that manga

I think it would be right up your alley. What’s more it’s only 8 volumes long so it isn’t a huge time investment
