Swords, Sorcery, And Then Some!
Howdy, New Readers! Thanks for reading Exiern!
Written by Scott T. Hicken with art by Antipus, the comic updates Mondays. Please check out the Archive to enjoy the earlier adventures of Typh and Peonie!
Exiern contains mature themes and is best for readers 18+.
Typh didn’t disregard what Alica brought up at all it seems, he/she just knew better then to let an opponent take advantage of his/her psychological weakness during a fight.
Well, “wrong”?
Even if this comic plays up the comedy, what I took from it is that the whole swapped body-thing is just along for the ride. An effect of a rather cruel magic that plays on his perceptions of feminine and masculine stereotypes.
It’s much more about a mental issue, a state of mind, an introspective and acceptance of one’s true self.
Typh is starting to accept himself, so I would not be surprised if the curse is going to lose ground gradually.
Surprised the Princess is letting Typh stay in a cell that doesn’t even have a bed. I’m not even sure it has a bucket. I would have thought that she would push for better for her friend.
I’m not so sure that Typh doesn’t know about the third wish. He may be saving it for something special later on — say something like “GET US OUT OF HERE ASAP!”
For those unversed on this topic: Peggy only liking men doesn’t necessarily make this a dealbreaker. Typh is most analogous to a transgender person, and cisgender people very often respond to trans people as the gender they *are*, not the gender they present at a glance.
Cisgender people questioning their own sexuality because they don’t realize that the person they’re attracted to is actually in line with their gender preferences is a normal thing that happens. I’ve seen it personally and read many other accounts of it. When they’re decent folk, their response is basically, “Oh, that explains it, it makes sense now, your vibes match my orientation”, and maybe they date or not or whatever.
TL;DR Typh’s personality has “bi/gay male” social cues and people not attracted to women may find him attractive based on those cues.

That’s why said ‘currently’, because Peggy like’s guys, not girls

That might require one of those royal requests that Typh doesn’t realizes she’s entitled to a third of.
Or it could simply be that they haven’t yet gotten around to providing either, given that the brig was unoccupied before Typh boarded.

It’s… not that kind of ‘wish’
So quickly forgetting about Denver i seems….
