You know If Tiff relented for a moment then was always a female her Mother would be alive. As her being Gay was the reason She Died. If this is Explained to Tiff I think its safe to say she would “relented for a moment” but then what kind of World woould they live in ? would Faden Still be stopped? Princess Peonie Alive? Would She run away instead of being banished or be banished bc she was to independent and would not marry? So she still be around to save Peonie? What of the others she transformed? Would Sister Teresa – aka, Brother Thomas always been a girl?
@Wint: oh! That would be genius if Faden if he actually cursed Tiff in a way which would result in his defeat eventually being undone/retconed.
…exactly what is Tiff surprised about? Can she see the changes as well, is she somehow surprised that Osir knows about her curse… Or… Is she looking at us… The readers?
She’s trying to wrap her mind around the fact that grand archway she had been in not even an hour ago is now an elaborate library.

Things that she actively noted and committed to memory (like the archway she noticed when she first entered, yes. Things that she wasn’t paying much attention to slip her attention.
Drat my comment went on yesterdays page, well I will post it again where I meant to. I think it is more that reality is warped there than that Peonie lost her pants or that Tiff’s changed color. The dragon seemed to imply that she was seeing things as they were a few panels back and the sage implied that the curse could be different tomorrow and it would always have been that way.
Timey-wimey, changy-wangy, cursey-worsey…Right now I’m sure Tiffany just wishes she only had to face more Mingalows..
I just thinking If Faden was scared desperate enough could his White Magic Spell been even more Powerful than we KNOW? He said “with Power even White magic becomes dangerous.” What If he was referring to more than Tiff? What If his Spell made her a Mini Worlds End ?Threw witch Beyonders and The Decay can come,A Living Breach in reality? May thats why she can see the changes and not surprising that Sage ?
So they Need her to Pick Relent . To Seal the whole. Thats what Dragons Do! And the Dragon might be Bonded to Princess to make certain she survives and Faden not Pull off his Original Plan (what ever that was.)
All that magic burned a Whole in reality that the Dragons need to Plug. Before a The Authority Shows up to Plug it or maybe there Travelers that Serve the Decay? And Tiff Realty rewrite could even threaten them. How? Tiff Curse Is Not that shes a Woman but That She IS What She Believes she would be as a Woman, And Tiff Believes She a Descendent of One Handed ASH a GOD ie a TRAVELER, Now Even if that is not true for the rest of the tribe even if ASH was just a MAN. Well to bad the curse Turns Tiff into what She Believes A Woman IS! A Woman DIRECTLY Descended FROM A GOD!
This is only one Possible way her Curse could P!!s off The Authority.
Yes it could be Very Dangerous indeed, And she can become a Mingalows at any time. As the Outsiders Ever seek to enter threw cracks in reality and anyway you look at it Tiff a CRACK IN REALITY!
Dragons got to fix it.
It could be as simple as relating to how Tiff see women. Her belief in what a woman was changed what the curse made her. It might change the nature of the curse too.

@Rowen Morland I am saying its to powerful semi alive and uncontrolled and semiRandom. And its effects far more dangerous than have been revealed. That if it can Alter reality retro-con a person the thing might be a bigger threat than sex changer a threat the dragons would need to fix.

Well an explicitly self-retconning curse certainly makes keeping it straight simpler.
Not to mention, stopping it even harder
