    Book Club.

    Soon to be Fight Club.

But we’re not supposed to talk about it.

Ah hah! So that’s what Urtica was playing at.

Somehow, I find it hard to believe that Urtica didn’t know what Peonie was doing.

@Francisco – of course. Indeed, I wouldn’t be surprised if in future, we found he was anonymously blackmailing the young man with the threat of informing the king. 🙂

Oh, come on now. Some of you have been around a long time, I know the names (and in some cases faces.) I know you know Urtica knows this.

    http://www.exiern.com/2012/04/03/father-knows-best/

I mean you can even see Peonie saying “Why, you know he-” … as in why are you even bothering with hiding? She could have also taken up the offer from her father for him to come back later but didn’t.

In theory, Phi could have used that opportunity but I’m guessing Peonie didn’t see the point precisely for the reason above.

I’m thinking some archive diving might be in order for some of us …

I’m really digging the art lately. Great job.

    Typo:

“I’ve never been myself” should be “I’ve never been *there* myself”

    Either is OK.

Right, “Never been ” is an actual phrase people use.

I’d bet Urtica is amused at Phi’s attempt to hide.

Anyone else expecting to have had Urtie ‘accidentally’ place the hyumongus book on a trying-to-hide Phi? (totally didn’t see him behind the curtain in the first panel)

What is the chance that Urtica sat on his shirt by accident?

@Shan – oh yes, I’d forgotten that seen. I wonder if he ever got around to having that chat, or just decided to let him worry?

I’m going to say it was probably more Column B than Column A.

Maybe you should double proof the text? There are some glaring typos and words that you forget to write on almost every comic.

@TotallyAnon – Yeah, mistakes do make it through, despite my best efforts. 🙁 I try and update mine when people catch them, but I leave Drowemos’ and Chemiclord’s as sort of historic snapshots – they have been fixed for the remastered pages in the yet-to-be-put-on-sale PDFs.

However, “I’ve never been myself” is indeed how I intended it to be written here, and in fact how I speak. I also say “a whole ‘nother thing” but that probably won’t make it into Exiern.

Urtica sends his daughter to a place almost everyone has forgotten about right after exiling to that same place a very dangerous warrior who just happens to be his daughter’s close friend and sometime battle companion.

This is obviously a /total/ coincidence.

She’s going to need an escort. I wonder if that guardsman–what’s his name, Phi something– might be a suitable choice?

I wouldn’t be at all surprised if the final words as King Urtica is leaving are something like “And Captain Phi, you won’t have any problems with being ready to leave with the others, will you?”

TotallyAnon: maybe it might help if you pointed out these “glaring typos”
