“I’ll get them a Hallmark card… Whatever that is.” – Wow… a cultural reference. Next thing you know, Harrison Ford is going to jump out of nowhere and demand that they give his family back, or maybe Ronald McDonald will start shooting his mime machine gun around.
Hmmm, as I recall part of Tiffany’s reward came from Faden’s treasure hoard. Maybe Ctyx is being used by Faden’s hand to recover a powerful item that can break him out of prison?
Well, HE is looking for the necklace and it’s supposed to be in the vault. (Don’t ask how he knows that.) He doesn’t know it’s been picked up and worn, and the fractured have neglected to pick it up when they had the chance.
She is real, well there is a real person there. It’s just that the real person is not Mira but a golem pretending to be her. Notice how she is trying to get Ctyx back on mission.
@Elfguy: I was thinking the same thing about the necklace a while back, but then the deacon seemed to explain why Tiffany was changing so I wasn’t sure. Now I’m wondering if maybe he was wrong about what’s going on, and Faden’s trinket really is responsible. In other words, I’m confused. *Sigh* … at least everything is nromal
and besides, wouldn’t Cytx with Faden’s magic running through him from the hand be immune to the Fracture’s mask powers?
and Elfguy, though your main contributions be of southern descent whomping us below the belt, every now and then you do give some sustainable food for thought.
where DID she get that bracelet, WHAT is it, and in what WAY is it controlling her?
You know… there was reference in speech to Ctyx doing something rather brave for Mira while off-stage, something about a lake. That bracelet there could be what he was getting from the lake, and as to what it does…
Hmm… yeah, new theory then; Mira’s dead, the bracelet is keeping her ‘alive’, but probably also pliable by the Fractured. If she doesn’t do what they say, they turn off the bracelet and she dies for real, but Ctyx doesn’t know they’ll do it.
@Schwarzer Ritter – When you think about it, a lot of children in our world (i.e. Earth) dress like s!!!s too. Some are even encouraged and awarded in strange and horrible rituals known as “Child Beauty Pageants”
First of all, Peony told Tiff to wear the necklace and she agreed, but I haven’t seen it on her… somehow I think it’s still in the vault.Second Tiff has been changing for a while – remember her getting overly emotional and crying about being a woman while Peony was wondering why she would do that now after all those months? Third, the bracelet has been shown waaaaay too much at every possible instance for it to be insignificant, something IS up with it – and also, at what point did a little girl with no understanding for magic become able to guide Ctyx on how to use magic like she did when they were fighting with the guard? Have you thought of that?
The necklace could be an amplifier artifact… Maybe its for amplifying spells, something that would be very powerful in the hands of a mage(As it would amplify all of the spells they cast, or in the case of Tiff amplify the one she is under)

Okay, never mind Denver, they are after Tiff’s loot!!! Now that has to be hitting her where it hurts.

Come to think of it, Tiffy’s “Weak woman” phase started when she put on that amulet…
Ah, back to mini-Faden and his possibly-hallucinatory girlfriend. How many ways can an innocent young boy be manipulated?
It’s about time these two got to have a roll in the hay…er…hoard…
I don’t know if she’s hallucinatory, thanks to this comic. Seems to me she’s fairly real at this point.

yep. she’s a fracture most likely.

Nah, not a Fracture as such…but she DID gain an interesting bracelet somewhere.

What do you think guys and barbarians?
Wow, even the children dress like s!!!s in this world.
Schwarzer…it most “Dark Age Era” cultures…Females were Married and had a bun in the over by 12.

Slutty?? When are you from Schwarzer 1622?

Sorry, not “after all those months”, I meant “after all this time”…

I really am enjoying how Faden is talking through the boy…
“a hallmark card…. whatever that is.”
He’s still my favorite character.
