Ooops.
Tiffany and Denver sitting in a tree…
Although the rest of that would make this situation even more awkward.
I wonder what would happen if she would tell him the truth about what happend to himm/her, that would be interesting to see. hhehe
i bet that was exremly hard to addmit that to him
and love the progress of the webcomci keep up the good work
Thanks for those summary links in the comments section. With so much going on in the comic, it can be hard to keep up at times. Great work btw.
Here i was hoping he/she would end up with Pione. Though i guess that could still happen.
Tiffany, a man transformed into a woman, and Denver, a man who is a dragon but does not know it yet, what an odd couple but interesting one.
They look so cute together, and Tiffany is very conflicted about her feelings for him.
Shame reality won’t be so kind in their futures.
I can, barely, imagine a half-dragon child of Tiff and Denver.
Yeah, Tiff. Let it all hang out. Whip it out, get it all out on the table.
Ok… I’m done making crude comments (for now).
Also, thanks for making Tiff realize he was being a terrible hypocrite.
Oooooooh drama! Wait he dosen’t know she used to be a man right? ^^; Me so confused
As far as the reader knows, no one has told him she used to be a man. His behavior likewise supports this.
It’s going to be so exciting to see how this will unfold. I don’t think there is a web comic out there that gets me this excited right now. 🙂
Will tiff give up her quest to lift the curse?
Will she ever tell Denver about her curse?
and what will happen when Denver finds out?
will he get angry and say he never wants to see tiff again?
or worse will it let him change into this dragon people are talking about he is?
@silverdraco. Denver’s sister IS a dragon. Not only is she the “monster” that attacked Tiff and killed all the soldiers, but a cannon side story showed her transformation from woman to dragon. There is also the fact that a dragon attacked them, yet left Denver unmolested.
@ Azure. Right right I remember those events. I loved it when denver attacked that dragon by himself. 🙂
Hmmm, now as I recall, when Tiff became Tiff and the magic was thrown, there was a unicorn present and according to what has been said here, unicorns prevent evil magic. So while that would make it problematic to change a guy into a gal, what if all the bad mage did was break an existing spell? Say, the one put on by a father who needed a son to succeed him as chief? Maybe that’s why all the “cures” seem to be backfiring? Hmmm, food for thought.
That’s a very interesting thought there, Stormhawk.
It would also sort of explain tiff’s behavior when she thinks it’s to girly. but if you thought turns out to be right she is just being herself.
@Stormhawk. Unicorns only prevent “dark” magic. Faden used a loophole that allowed “healing” or “white” magic which if overloaded can TRANSFORM. Even he was a bit surprised by the whole MTF thing, at least if what he says can be trusted.
Sorcery is not Surgery.
Right – Faden was trying to kill Typhan Knee with a (technically) not-evil spell, and (i think) grabbed the wrong book (I remember a line about “Who has been messing with my magic books?!?” or something like that).
However, no matter how constituted, the transformation is apparently still, technically, a curse.
I wanna see the moment when Tiff tells Denver about her and what’s-her-name – “Teresa”.
I can’t wait for that time too. Would be fun to see Denver’s reactions.
Why is Denver the only major character that doesn’t know about Tiffany’s transformation? The unicorn knows more than him. The pompous book knows more than him. That old man probably knows more than him.
I can understand Tiffany wanting to keep her identity issues a secret. Especially cause she totally like-likes him. Granted, it creates a lot of tension within the story and the possibility for another angst-filled runaway by Denver. But it becomes less probably that he doesn’t know with each person that gets turned into a woman.
Have we excluded the possibility yet that (s)he’s just telling him (s)he fancies him to keep him out of trouble? It would seem like an effective way to shut him up. Requires some good acting, but I’d consider it one of the more likely possibilities. Magically changing someone’s gender is one thing, but to change a person’s sexual orientation along with it seems a bit trickier.
I can see why it might be acting, but if (s)he just wanted to keep him out of trouble, why not tell him what went down? Why not just tell him the truth? I believe that (s)he’s worried if he founds out, he’ll distance himself from..her(him). While it’s easy to just accept changing ones gender, but in the end it’s still magic. Changing someones gender is a huge thing, so it wouldn’t shock me that along with that, it can influence someones thought processes/mindset.
…and so Tiffany gave up on her quest to restore her former gender, and she and Denver were married. They started a Weyr, had many clutches of dragonfolk, and lived happily until Anne McCaffrey’s lawyers lay siege to them.
“But I used to be a man.” Seriously, if you don’t say it now, (wo)man, Faden’s only going to use the plot revelation AGAINST you later.
straight man magically changed into the opposite gender, combined with the random girly mental traits, guess that makes sense he’d be a straight woman too.
And even better when he gets turned back(at this rate it’ll be a couple years) and the other guy changes into a dragon so there won’t even be that awkward gay bit…he just becomes a barbarian with an awesome dragon animal companion that can help him kill stuff.
Thats even more manly than a wolf or a bear. It’ll make up for this whole girl thing easy. lol
Ohhhh, Dear! 🙂
Now, to get serious for a minute, you’ve rightfully got to ask, is Tiffa-Knee’s feelings the result of the magical spell that makes her act ‘womanly’, or is it Tiffa-Knee’s own true feelings (i.e., only the biology has been changed, not the psychology?).
If the former, then its just a case of magical brainwashing, which he will come to regret if he ever becomes a man again.
If the latter, then Tiffa-Knee has some soul searching ahead of her 🙂
The information we have including the fact that traumatic brain injury can flip sexual orientation indicates that a structural variation in the brain controls sexual orientation. Therefore changing the body changes the orientation in a straight individual. I wonder whether that would hold up in a same sex or if the orientation would be reset to match the body?
Not quite sure what you’re getting at here. The character never stopped being a man just because their body changed (they never stopped having a male brain) and their sexual orientation never changed either. Make of that what you will.
Yeah, this really isn’t traditional gender-bender. She hasn’t become a man stuck in a woman’s body, she’s literally become a woman who merely remembers being a man. Think Jadzia Dax (except without a body-surfing symbiont), rather than Ranma.
Well, actually he’s not a woman at all, despite appearances to the contrary.
