Let me say this. TYphan-Knee’s charm comes from her(his) warrior nature (hot amazon). If TYphan-Knee becomes Tiffany (the breeding machine, laundry cleaning etc.) then the attraction on my part will fade.

I think that generally if you could substitute in the verb “implement” and still make sense, then “effect” is the one you want.
Anyway! Tiff’s already out of “Listen to Me” mode and moving back towards “I Need a Solution” mode, so we know she’s clutching at masculinity. But she’s trying SO HARD to revile what she is that it comes across that she really does sort of like it.

Nixia, I’m joking (badly) using Peonie’s own incredibly funny phrase. Of course they aren’t going to get it on, and they shouldn’t. They have an interesting, sweet relationship. They’re good for each other like they are. As you say, they’re like sisters. Personally, I want Tiff with Denver, at least a little more, no matter how doomed that is.
Galdon, I think what the king was telling Peonie is that Tiffany’s curse is not a curse in the traditional sense, but only a change. Calling it a “curse” is a matter of perception. If Tiffany comes to think of it as normal, then she’s essentially no longer a cursed man. She’s a woman.
Now, Peonie’s dad has his own reasons for advocating that Tiff accept her situation, but the fact he’s suggesting it implies that he’s been told that the curse can’t be lifted. Otherwise he wouldn’t risk, say, marrying Tiffany and then her turning back into a man. If he’s been told by Royal-level experts that she is stuck as a woman, then his advice to Peonie is pretty sound (apart from the marriage thing).

but I wouldn’t be surprised if she was smarter now and had other attributes
