Denver just rolled a natural 20 on a Saving throw vs Enraged Barbarian. (Charisma based) Those have a -15 modifier! Well done, my boy. You may just get out of this alive. That last scene. Yep. Definitely a “Daw!” moment.
This, doesn’t really work as a transition for me, seems too sudden (and Tiffanys eyes on the last panel freak me out).
But then i was never a fan of Denver in the first place so i might be a bit biased.
@J4n1 – I think that webcomics, unless they’re updating daily, probably aren’t the ideal medium for slow and realistic growth and evolution of characters; of necessity events have to move along fairly briskly, and it’s very easy for them to end up feeling a bit rushed and unrealistic at times. But I think Chemiclord is handling this pretty well, all things considered.
Also it not like much was done. Tiff got some heavy stuff off her chest for sure, but she knows that was like step 1 of what ever. She also know after all that happen, Denver willing to stick with her too. So while some make it feel like rushed, i feel it about the right amount.
Likely she/he has never been hugged. After telling her story about the farm girls and boy Tiff might have thought that Denver might not like her any more.
That combined with finally getting all this off her chest might have made her a little emotional. She is a girl (in body) after all.
This would’ve been served better with no words in the last panel. Just letting her expression say it all would’ve been more impactful, I think. Still, well done.
Guest, I think she feels she does, because of “that” stuff. It may have been the socially accepted norm for her previous society, but she’s been among “civilized” folks long enough to understand a different view. She is also sharp enough to notice that there are people in her current social society that care for her simply for who she is, not for the fact that she’s shown no weakness or will be in a powerful position. They don’t have the demands and expectations that her previous family did, and that’s probably quite a good feeling. In fact, her current social world is probably the first place she’s really felt “good”. Her past puts her at odds with that, so yes…she does have a lot to “make up for”, in her eyes. That’s not the same thing as “blame”, mind you….it’s simply taking responsibility for one’s actions and doing better.
I think this page has some of the best, most expressive art in the entire comic’s run… for Tiff, anyway. Tiff’s eyes express the moment in every panel but panel 6, in particular, makes me think her eyes are simply following her mind’s eye and seeing that there’s a future for her. Like, maybe, for the first time she isn’t simply living in the here and now because she didn’t care about what was to come and now she does.
I’m probably reading a lot into it but… it’s fun to do that from time to time.

Um. … I can’t find the words for both the turn of events, and the level of amazement and confusion
though lovely eyes in panel 6
Tiff just lost 10 kg of rage muscles. She is swinging to the fem-side again.
Super cutie page 🙂
Nice recovery, Denver.
Denver is thinking in the last panel: “I… I’m not dead! She did not kill me! Now what genius?”
A lot of evil deeds to make up for or a lot of sexual acts? ;p
Well I’m feeling a bit more comfortable with the progression now that I know they aren’t confusing being gay with transgender.
Surprise! in panel 5 … (like the eyes)
And that section of hair is not in her eyes … at least in that split second.
Panel 6… Too cute… to resist…
D’AWWWWWWW!

Wait ’till Denver’s “different” body parts come in… will everything be in order then?
Yeah, that hug is totally just for tenderising the meat. A good dragon should care about what he eats.
Interesting… I wonder how she’ll go about making up for the past.

Tiffanys Girly Be Afraid!

Tj looks like she still has a couple of weighty things still on her chest too….{coughcough}
Denver makes a recovery, it’s super effective.

I like the wide eyes in panel 5. And Denver – nice recovery.
Why do so many people still believe Tiff has anything to make amends for when she was Typh
If she does, then it is not for that, probably something still to be revealed

Okay, I’m asking this honestly because I honestly don’t recall.
When did Tiffany ever explain to Denver that she used to be a man?
@Marscaleb: http://www.exiern.com/2012/06/19/what-lies-beneath/
It seems he knew for a while. (And I still think it was a dick move.)
@Guesticus and Andor. Yes, you’re both right.
TYphan-Knee and Denver, such an odd pair that they look normal.
We might be seeing half-dragons in the future.
