I wonder if magic is keeping this or volcanic heat.
Gonna start warming up pretty quick for them… Good thing our princess knows how to undress herself fast.
Just thinking on that sword which breaks any magic on the holder… I wonder if Dragons are born human naturally and gradually change to dragons or if Denver is actually under a spell to keep him human which gradually wears off with age?
For that matter, I wonder if there’s any magic involved in Neils.
> I wonder if magic is keeping this or volcanic heat.
Magic. The heat gradient is too steep for it to be a natural phenomenon.
> Dragons are born human naturally and gradually change to dragons or if Denver is actually under a spell to keep him human which gradually wears off with age?
I’d guess that Denver’s human form is the larval stage in the life cycle of a dragon. Tiff’s earlier comment about his “Tadpole” nickname fits the pattern.
What I don’t understand is Niels’s and Peonie’s apparent lack of reaction to the realization of Denver’s true nature.
you can see steam coming from the water so hot springs which makes sense if the steam is constant and its warm enough ice would never form not to mention if the rock and ground is warm as well then any snow would melt on contact that and because of the cliffs surrounding it its keeping the heat in a more focused area instead of it just fanning out at ground level making a kind of mini ecosystem similar to lake garder in Italy
Raging: not only did they use up all the rope, they sliced up the rope
Lurker: also, it seemed to have been magically illusioned: one second they are walking along, Princess P-cups shading her eyes to peer into the distance, Tiff is talking, nek minut they are standing on a cliff overlooking a tropical oasis and Tiff finishes her sentence
What if the Land Is holding the Sword and the Ice is Magical and the Sword Just able to hold it at bay?? We Assume that the North is Cold bc are North is cold but what if its like only 50 miles North of Florida ? Peonies Kingdom Fairly warm yet the North not that North, Its anther planet but still I wonder. There are on Earth Legends about the Gods losing and the Land being Frozen well on Tiffs World the Gods wear Defeated And The Scientists/ Travels left with them So how might that effect a World Weather? The heat might be The Swords Disenchant effect. The Sword most Likely a Relic of the old gods as the Travelers stuff is all science maybe its Keeping there(travelers) Power back?
Neat! Seems to be, relatively, small, not like the Savage Land in Marvel for example. Might be hot springs, they can travel quite a distance from the source, but it’s unlikely to be an active volcano system. Possibly a magma dome that heats the spring deep under ground, which could build up pressure to erupt some day.
Of course it could also be kept magically warmer and the “steam” be cause by warmer water meeting cooler air. Guess we will find out soon.
@charles81
That would depend on whether the change is magically based or not. The storyline explained that Dragons are like Cuckoo birds, they plant their young among humans and leave the humans to raise them. In that case the sword will probably not do much, depends on how it works really. If they infect human children with some sort of spell to create dragons, the sword will work. Lastly, if it’s more like the Brood in marvel where they plant eggs in human children which rebuild them into Dragons, it’s anybodys guess.

Well, that explains the logs! 🙂
Raise your hand if you saw this coming. I mean I was expecting a ‘Savage Land’ type of place but not this soon.
Oh man I would love to see them in Savage Land style outfits!
Huh, feels like I’m back on Belsavis again…

Go go excuse to shed that bulky clothing!
As long as they don’t run into Sauron, Sinister, or Magneto, they should be fine. 😉
HEY!!! You are stealing the theory about the Tropical Oasis lost in the mist of Arctic Circle.
Always enjoyed those stories …
Keep up the good work.

SEE! There it is, I knew it! A place where they need to climb down a cliff. Too bad they don’t have a rope.
Why? Did they use up all the rope on the Hanzalo?

I’m more curious about their upcoming meeting with the Dark Man and seeing that magical blade.
There is exactly *zero* chance there aren’t dinosaurs down there.

I don’t even remember what they are doing there…
Also possible that the surrounding area is frozen due to magic and this area is not frozen because of sword countering the magic.
