I love every thing about the page. Except the log they are sitting on what did they cut that with a light sabre? I really like the character development in this story.
Does Denver now think Tiff killed his sister? Of course he does: look at his eyes!
There’s a continuity issue: Tiff already gave him the locket in http://www.exiern.com/2008/02/28/yes-jewlery/ and there was only one locket and it’s a different picture. A quick fix would be to put the picture of Denver’s sister on the other side instead of the D, where it is in the original locket. The chain may also need some attention.
I don’t see a continuity Issue here. We never saw Denver pick up the locket ’cause he ran off in a huff. Tiff clearly picked up the locket, discovered that it was 2-sided, and had a new chain put on it.
For reasons she would totally deny if called out on, of course.
Except according to the curse Tiff is actually turning into a female, she isn’t just a guy trapped in a girl’s body any more. She has all the memories, but she is slowly turning into a girl.
Isn’t that what the king was referring to when he was talking to Peonie?
@ well, several of you =)
You are right about the picture before, it was the sister’s. Her having Denver’s picture in her locket would make a lot more sense though, unless the locket had both pictures. As for her giving it to him before, she actually threw it on the ground, not anger or anything but more like “I found this.” He ran off after that and who’s to say he took it with him? Even if he picked it up he could easily drop it in his flight.
In the words of Wilson Bob Tucker, “Never let the facts get in the way of a good story.”
The locket could actually have a minor charm on it, where it rotates through a series of images. The same locket could alternately show pictures of Denver, his sister, his parents, the family dog…
Actually, the reason for the picture on the locket is because I wanted it that way.
It made more sense, to me, that it would carry Denver’s picture rather than his sister’s, as it is HER locket. I considered it bearing her parents on the bottom, but decided at the end of the day to not trouble Shipeng to draw characters that would largely be throwaways.
So… yes, I suppose it’s a retcon, but one that I think makes more sense than the original.
Sha la la la la la
My oh my
Look like the boy too shy
Ain’t gonna kiss the girl
Sha la la la la la
Ain’t that sad?
Ain’t it a shame?
Too bad, he gonna miss the girl
Sha la la la la la
Don’t be scared
You got the mood prepared
Go on and kiss the girl
Sha la la la la la
Don’t stop now
Don’t try to hide it how
You want to kiss the girl
Sha la la la la la
Float along
And listen to the song
The song say kiss the girl
Sha la la la la
The music play
Do what the music say
You got to kiss the girl
You’ve got to kiss the girl
You wanna kiss the girl
You’ve gotta kiss the girl
Go on and kiss the girl

Where do you find a well cut log in the middle of the frozen tundra?
Well, there were some low trees in the 7/30 strip, and Tiff is good with a sword. Not to mention the big guy in armor might swing a mean axe.
What scares me is Tiffany is blushing there…
Perfect prelude to a kiss!

Actually, the continuity issue is that right here, the locket has a picture of Denver, way back in http://www.exiern.com/2008/02/28/yes-jewlery/, the picture was of his sister.
Tiff blushing???
And doing a gesture a female would do. No guy would (gently) put their hand to another guys mouth to shut him up.

Yep … Saw it coming too, but had to try and defend his/her (semi-)code of manhood.
Yay for (semi-)homoerotic tension?

I just assumed Tiff had found a picture of Denver and put it in the locket herself.
