Any chance of having panel 2 enlarged? Maybe as a vote ensentive? (speaking of, where did the vote button thing go? it kinda disappeared around the time the eStore pic came in)
Tiff’s acting more female than she may realize. Look at how they’re sitting in panel 5. Denver, for all his fragile scholarliness, still sits like a man – feet wide, knees apart. Tiff, OTOH, knees together, feet tucked demurely to the side – musta learned that from Peonie.
Or there’s just less to…*cough*…get in the way of sitting like that?
Though Tiff has been, to some extent, accepting (if not exactly embracing) some aspects of her situation. Hell, she did that when fighting the bandits like a woman instead of like a man. She’s also accepting change in other ways, such as learning to read and accepting responsibility for people other than herself. Tiff is, by nature and necessity, adaptable, and the femininity is just one aspect of that adaptation.
Yeah, all that’s missing in panel 2 are some of those little wiggle lines hovering around her butt lol

That’s a good point, and possibly related to the changes from the spell. She was getting more like her previous idea of a woman for a while, it’s possible that’s still happening on some level.
More telling, I think anyway, is the fact that she kept the locket. That’s either food for the shippers or a major change in the way she thinks about things. I mean really, how many barbarian men would think about doing that?
I can see there being a few stunted gnarly trees in the frozen wastelands of the north, but where did they come up with a two foot wide, perfectly straight, perfectly sawn log on which to perch their posteriors?
The anachronism kinda ruins the warm-and-fuzzy moment for me.

My thoughts exactly.
I’ve been reading this whole webcomic over the past few days. One of the persistently annoying trends I’ve seen in the comments section is the tendency for various commentators to inflict unnecessary realism on a fantasy webcomic that clearly draws things for the story. Whether it’s cutting rope or somehow having a log bench, commenting on how likely a prop is misses the point that it’s just a prop for telling the story. The story’s what matters here. I can only hope people figure it out. 😐

It’s been known for a long time that things like “knees wide apart” and “knees together” are more a confidence thing rather than a gender thing. In the past, men had more reason to be confident and right now, even with the worries about losing himself, the fact that he won an impossible battle would have given him a big boost in confidence.
