Peonie seems to have this odd idea that she’s smarter than her father. I’d be surprised if he hadn’t been watching as she rode out the front gate, having anticipated her actions.
“Escort you”? Does that mean he’s coming along? Nice. Between Tiff and Neils, all combat issues are dealt with. Tadpole can deal with brainy-book issues – and, if the need arises, pass any burte-strength tests with ease. Peonie…. well, Peonie’s job has always been to get the amazingly competent people her father surrounds her with… into trouble. She’s like, a danger magnet!
Why would Urtica wait until he found the note? He probably detailed Neils as soon as Tiff said she was planning to go alone, in the sure and certain knowledge Princess Perky would invite herself along.
Posted this on the last page in a moment of stupidity. In Chibiern, ‘gate’ should be ‘gait’. The first is an opening in something, such as a fence, while the second is used to describe the way a person moves.
I agree with deanatay. The wording could so easily have been “escort you home” or “escort you back to the castle”. That it was left “escort you” is an almost rock solid guarantee that Neils is on the trip North.

@Simon, in other words, normal teenager?
CALLED IT!!! NIELS FTW!!!

Oh Peonie, she doesn’t sound like your dad, she sounds more like your mum.
I am so glad Tiff can’t reach out of my screen and punch me you know.
Oooh, Neils has returned to active duty after being ensorcelled. I wonder how Urtica ascertained his loyalty this time? Or did he just let it go?
Nah, hes’ the other kind of escort.

In the bottom left panel, to whom is Tadpole bowing?
You can spell ‘differentiate’, but not ‘gait’ and ‘speech’?
Clearly Chibiern was put together far to early in the morning. I’ve just received and uploaded a new version.
@Bill: he’s not bowing, just slumped over in defeat. Same as panel 2.
Also, I guess I need to pay more attention. I never noticed the eye color thing. Or being “ensorcelled”. Who was controlling him in that case?
The same witch that created the Gelateonies had ensorcelled Nils.
As creatures of sparkles, magic and sunshine go, that is the sulkiest unicorn I have ever seen.
Maybe he knows he’ll wind up bald providing circlets for everyone.
It looks like he’s tied to that tree? If so, that would explain it.
@deanatay: thanks. I’ll have to go back and reread this stuff sometime.
