See, 100% called it. For all that it can be a fault, Tiffany’s predictability is also the single driving force that saves the day.
Also, gotta love that dress, the pose from the third panel is no different than ones we’ve seen half a dozen times so far, but this time it looks all girly because of the curves ^^
Yeah, Tiff, that fight wasn’t all your fault. Just 70-90% at most, I mean no one would really be expected to lash out after being called a paedophile and then poked in the chest…
That church though, now that is assholery on a whole new level. The punishment for not doing what the priesthood says is being rendered mute!? Wow, talk about disproportionate retribution. In the Church of England they just give you a hard glare and make you have a chocolate digestive instead of Jammy Dodgers.
Loving the saga of Denver and Tiff though. Mostly…awwwww
Take away her voice might not be rendered mute it might be worse might be getting her magic power removed. They use a lot of song references in church about magic. But if you noticed the brother hood is all men. They might be as bad as Tiffany people when it comes to magic.
Well think about it, if you could use awesome butt-kick magic with just your voice, how would you govern that? Gag them and feed them through a tube for the rest of their life? Have to handcuff them and imprison them to prevent them from removing said gag?
I think, if that was the case, the only safe way to deal with those who would, apparently, betray the church would be to mute them, to seal away their voice.
As for the church being evil… see previous, but with a new phrase thrown in for good measure: Love the faith, hate the fanclub XD It’s why I chose a small, unrecognised religion to follow, because it’s all faith and no fanclub, so to speak.
What Thaylien said. Church not evil, just… strict.
Also, I question that Tiff is in love – the statement just confused and worried her. Denver, OTOH, behind his shy, bookish exterior, is crushing hard. Still too sensible to admit it to Tiff, tho – even with all of the ‘girlifying’, I doubt she would take such a confession well.
Thirdly, I wonder how Tiff is going to get Theresa out of this. More of her usual ‘Tiff smash’ might not work so well – she’s girlier than usual, in a palace full of (demonstrably badass) armed guards, and going up against two ‘confessors’ who are also powerful magic-users. Plus, she’s in a tight, confining dress, might get in the way – unless it comes off – oh please oh please…
I know I’ve talked too much already, but I’m reminded of something Theresa said a few strips ago. “I was just being myself”, she said. The confessor’s response: “And that’s why you need to be punished”. Like the RCC, this church seems to be about repression of the self in service to the greater good. They view personal foibles (like gender and sexual expression) as ‘challenges’ which the good person must overcome to win God’s favor. Theresa’s about to be punished, it seems, for not trying hard enough to be good.
Tiff’s not responsible for Theresa’s punishment – this has been a long time coming, I think. It’s become clear that Thomas was guilty of several… indiscretions (Honey Nectar) during his time in the church, and has always been known as somewhat of an oddball. His transformation, and subsequent fight with Tiff, is simply the straw that broke the camel’s back.
I wonder if she’ll be able to help with her new, less muscled body? because with her lack of knowledge about most things around there, I doubt that her smarts will be enough.

How does she run in that dress?

Ha-ha! Tiff in love! I love that vulnerable look on her face she has on panel 4.
Let’s just hope this brings enough fire to get her her real attitude – and incidentally, physique.

I foresee two confessors who REALLY wish they had another job in the very near future.
Go Tiff! 😀

Told y’all the church was evil.

You said it, boy !
