Um. Nobody said these guys are unharmed. They could be near-death. They just changed armor. Or, ya know, CHANGED GUARDS. I assume kings get to have more than 2 on retainer.
Makes one almost feel sorry the king. I wonder whether that form of torture is allowable under the Geneva Conventions.
