It’s interesting. At this point in time we’re very far ahead in the story, and we still don’t know what the deal is with the distinction between white and black magic in this universe – that little quirk that allowed Faden to enchant her despite the unicorn being present.
If I had to guess, though, it shows here. The Nix wishes he was female, then Tiffany wishes him the best of luck. The enchantment is powerful enough to spread given the right circumstances…
