So over six years..

Not a bad run if I do say so myself.  And it was very fun.

My time here as writer is almost up and I just wanted to take a little time to say goodbye.  The first draft of this turned out to be 12 pages going through the history of the entire comic, what lead me up to my decision to leave and why I though “So long and thanks for all the fish” is the best way to say goodbye.  I actually had 1.5 pages just on “so long and thanks for all the fish.”  But in all that rambling my main point was lost.  That point being simply that I wanted to say thanks to all you guy for sticking with me for all these years.

You all are seriously the best and the things I am going to miss the most about making this comic.  I am going to miss how you can switch from having a deep philosophical discourse to demanding to see boobs in the same sentence.  I am going to miss how you explode in an avalanche of puns at the mere glimpse of a bear.  I am going to miss what interesting and entertaining lot of people you are.

Six year ago I could never have dreamed I could have met such a great bunch of people online and that they would take this journey with me.  I feel truely honored to have been up here on this virtual stage and to have gotten such wonderful partners.  Because that’s what you guys have been to exiern, partners.  You were the co-writers of this whole beautiful world.  The comic came as much from your input as from mine.  It has been great.

Not that I am going away.  I’ll still be bouncing around the net.  But still our time here on exeirn has been something very special to me.  I hope that I have on occasion been able to bring a smile to your face because I know that you sure have brought a smile to mine.
