How you feeling?
Well I fear I may have disappointed people with this page. Many of you were expecting an epic battle between the two royal guards and Tiffany perhaps with more stripping and gender bending thrown in for fun. But let’s be honest it’s one naked unarmed woman against two fully armored giants with magic swords and glowing eyes. I don’t care how bad a!s you are that is a battle that is going to end very very quickly and not in your favor.
On top of that it was time to move on. There has been enough fighting time to move the story along. Perhaps there will be a rematch later on down the line when you will get all that you hoped for out of the battle. And perhaps I’ll just string you along because I’m a bastard like that and I seem to have a strange delusion that there is a story here I am telling not just naked people.
Congratulations Eric, you called Tiff was in berserk mode. I’ll stick to what I said about what is *usually* berserker rage in my previous page comments, but here, it does look like it’s mostly a disability in the Exiern world. Though the line “your people have song, mine have fire” sounds like it is also some kind of power.
And hurray! she’s been subdued! I’m so happy right now! ^^
Too bad we didn’t get to see it, though.
WOW ! A new dress , how many pages was she with the same other dress ? It sure is a change of pace.
I don’t think thats a dress… it’s more of a sack 😛
I really like the way Tiff is drawn on this page. The muscles and the shape of her in general is just really good, and I like her face in the last panel as well. And as far as being disappointed, I don’t think we really need another drawn out wacky battle scene this is much better imho.
Peonie, a golden-yellow dress.
I know my fantasy tropes. 😉
It is a power, it gives you strength and the ability to absorb punishment like crazy. But it is often said that it comes at a price.
The downside isn’t used that often in games because its a drag to beat up the other members of your party (when you don’t want to at least), but its a pretty common theme in books. Books vary on just how out of control the berserker is, but its usually at least suggested that the desire to let go and start a slaughter is there.
The David Weber series “The War God’s” (good series of three books) starting with “Oath of Swords” had it at two levels. The hradani had the Rage, a curse from the Dark Gods. Some would give in to the Rage and let it control them, becoming out of control berserkers glorying in the destruction and death. But for some they controlled the Rage, it was a weapon, a tool that they directed. As it was later revealed the control was a more recent development that made their race very powerful, and a reason for the Dark Gods to be less than thrilled by them (the Dark Gods didn’t like their curse being turned into a weapon against them).
I still think Peonie should work out her frustration by getting naked and beating people up too.
Or at least getting naked.
🙂
TYphan-Knee plays the hot amazon roll quite well. Even a potato sack does not hamper he(r) hot amazon-ness. Being a blue eyed blond does not hurt it either.
i wonder how she was beaten
@Mike I don’t she He/she was beaten. I think Tiff just new that fighting the royal guard wasn’t a good idea.
@Jakobs
And you make it sound like the wore her out with numbers.
…That sounded bad.
I doubt that Tiff just gave up but I hope she made a good show with the 2 giants/guards. If she could have beaten them, naked and unarmed, she might have been able to take that dragon. Even great hero’s have limits.
Mike… my guess is the glowey swords had a ‘stun’ effect.
Something like classic Star Trek’s phasers.
Tiff says that she’s not a full blood pyro. I ‘d like to hear the history on why she isn’t a full blood.
Meps98:
Tiff doesn’t look harmed, so it seems Tiff knew when enough was enough.
Well since Tiff is wearing a ‘sack’ now i couldn’t resist, sorry. Looks like someone finally got her in the sack 😛
I finally figured out Tiff’s last line.
PP: “Blah-blah, you know?”
T: “Yada-yada, I don’t know anything.”
Nobody who says “You know?” means this literally, as in “Do you have knowledge of that?” But Tiffany is responding literally to the “question.”
So is the northerner cold resistance(lets em live where they do) because full blooded ones actually literally have burning rage? Like do they have real fire?
probably the usual reasons for half barbarians half vikings or half orcs who become wandering adventurers instead of staying with either half’s homeland. They raid villages.
thats also the usual reasons for the sorts of genocide thats often enough done against the berserker half’s race when the southerners gain enough power with an empire’s army
although the mostly killed back thing is much more often with the orcs than human subraces
Wiht?
