Swords, Sorcery, And Then Some!
Howdy, New Readers! Thanks for reading Exiern!
Written by Scott T. Hicken with art by Antipus, the comic updates Mondays. Please check out the Archive to enjoy the earlier adventures of Typh and Peonie!
Exiern contains mature themes and is best for readers 18+.
Hmm. Coriander reminds me of the British “Gentleman” from Jade Empire. He camped out in the debate hall, challenged people to intellectual games, and then twists the rules to declare himself the winner. When the player is quested to make him go away, he provides a two-part challenge. 1.) Debate. 2.) Combat.
Now if you manage to get more votes from the five judges than he does (without ever getting all 5 judges to agree with you at once, as he considers that “cheating” and immediately declares himself the winner) then he claims that he didn’t get a “fair hearing.”
Of course, if you lose the “combat” part, you’re dead, but if he loses, he gets to walk away.
If you beat him at both parts, he offers you a trophy.
Tiff has dealt with spellsingers before. She knows she needs to get the drop on them, move fast and without hesitation. The priest behind Coriander suspects and is trying to warn him but he’s not listening.
Armor means nothing to North Wind. Remember that armor gets cut off just as easily by the Sword That Never Fails Its Wielder as clothes. The question remains… will it rend Coriander’s flesh?
He seems unaware of the fact that Typh has repeatedly committed “les majestes” (that is to say, physically assaulted royalty), repeatedly assaulted members of his own church, and is the champion and bodyguard to the princess (the girl he almost murdered with his latest shenanigan). And she’s HOLDING HER SWORD.
Arrogance means you have decided it is unnecessary to think. Arrogance makes you stupid. This is Darwin Award levels of arrogant…
Be a Producer!Your name/title with an optional SFW hyperlink will be posted prominently HERE following the close of the month! You’ll also receive monthly mailings from Exiern’s author, Scott T. Hicken!
This is where Typh says ‘I quit, you can keep treasure as compensation’ than stabs the bishop.
Hmmm. Tiff is planning something…

Who else thinks she’ll say “I quit”?
This will be interesting

Humm going with informing the king hes under attack.
Typhan-Knee will probably tell the king he quits and then he’ll put his sword through Coriander. Probably as he says he’s quitting.
Damn. I still hope Alicia joins the fun.
Typhan-Knee: “here’s your precedent King.”
Hmmmmmm a lot of armor he wore, to a wedding…..

Coriander: “You, attendant. Do you this this is funny? Wipe that smile off your face!”

Unfortunately for Coriander, he isn’t wearing an armored collar or helmet, which may make for a ‘Bad Day’ ™ for Coriander…
Though something is nagging at me that the Dreamer has something else up his sleeve.

@ Fairportfan :
Incorrect.
Tif has made a decision about something.
“I quit.”
STAB!
What’s up with the mouthless guys?
As a Prince of the North I declare War ! …Chop. Head hits Ground. I surrender…
Does anyone else notice that two of his men have no mouths?
My guess Tiff tells the king of a danger to his rule. Stabs Coriander repeatedly, threat neutralized.
Those ‘mouthless guys’ do not agree with what Cori and his ‘boys’ are up to, and were silenced prior to the rigged contest
Knight takes Bishop.
WHOA!!! A Chess reference … COOL!
[hates waiting but just hopes it will mean the scum will be dealt with in a manner appropriate to the crimes he’s committed]

Woman Man? Really? That is Literally the laziest insult I have ever heard. He might as well of said Hey… You. For all the impact that had.
@Goines: I think coriander is not even trying to insult just says something he really thinks of.
Chop off his head – Now
