There’s a sword in the background, in the brush. Wonder if Tiff sees it? I’m sure she’d rather consider the true reason for her transformation while sitting on Alicia’s severed head.
Art bugaboo/nitpick: How are Alicia’s pupils lighter than her irises, given that there doesn’t seem to be a bright lightsource reflecting back to the viewer?
Owlmessenger: “Does anybody really think white magic would do what [Faden] wanted it to?”
yup. Magic here seems to have something of a will of its own.
Alicia? If willful magic decided, for whatever reason, to change Tiff into a woman, do you really think it’s wise to interfere?
And Tiff? Tiff, honey? Did it ever occur to you that “girl power” might not be quite the same as “boy power”? I mean, you chose a warhammer, a brute force weapon if ever there was one. That might rile the magic up as much as wearing male clothing.
@Ban: well, we know she can handle a sword pretty effectively. Unless the naginata gives her enough of an advantage to overcome the learning curve, something I’m not competent to judge, I’d say stick with the blade she knows.
@Gallstone: “Typhan-Knee does have a lot to atone for.”
She very much does, and I’m very much afraid this is not one of those things where the balance can be redressed by acknowledging her sin and forgiving herself.
She’s going to need to atone.
Although I’m not sure I understand why dragon-lady thinks she gets to judge.
@50srefugee. She “gets to judge” in her own head because “the decay” has convinced her that she’s the hero of this story. She’s said as much, and genuinely believes it.
As to that sword. Seeing it and being able to reach it are two different things. Let’s see if Typh can reach it before Ms. “Hero” rips out her brains and “downloads” the information… directly. (Chomp, Chomp, Chomp.)
I assume that the complete fulfillment of the light spell would change it so that she was born female And thus a totally different person never having killed those people Who would then be alive In a new timeline
It was Stated a Long time ago @Francisco the Spell can retron reality. on one side Tiff a female (the spells will) on the Other there Tiffs Will.. If Tiff ever gives in she will be a female (retrocon threw all time).. So that means She was born a Girl never Went with her Dad on those raids And he would not killed everyone to hide Tiff picked a Boy to be his Lover/rape victim. All history gets REWritten. With Tiffany as a Girl.. Her mother might be alive he will not be Erased as it was Originally Explained Just Always a Girl…But Maybe her father kills her in the Crib.. But the dragons should not actually Know Exactly what new timeline would be… She might turn into a cyborg or Demon Sorcerer Sword Wielder And still beat Faden And be at that Bar with Denver…
You remember what kind of monster Typhan-Knee’s father was? And how he raised his son? How he treated the women in his camp?
Things are only now getting better for women there.
As I remember it, the original spell cast at Typhan-Knee was intended to cause great harm, as it was a supercharged Spell, albeit one from the alleged White Magic Grimoire.
However, the difference between White and Black magic could be argued in the intent, not the spell.
A casting to produce rain for crops could be perverted to produce storms.
Same spell, just amped up.
A spell to gently convert you from man to mouse could also produce an angry woman, as the intended outcome isn’t guaranteed when you tweak the input.
I would suggest Magic as portrayed is like physics. You can Crack and Atom for peaceful purposes, or for Mayhem and War.
As for “lizard t!!s”, the assumption here is that her motives are pure and she has no agenda.
This is where i would point out that the Road to hell is paved with intentions, with the alleged good, that is, in the eye of the beholder.
The law of unintended consequences and all.
Oh yeah, have no doubts that Lizard T!!s believes she is doing the right thing, it’s just she talked to Faden first and has been deluded into carrying out his revenge

Don’t listen to Alicia. She just admitted that what was done cannot be undone.
Obviously Tiffany is supposed to get pregnant a crap load of times and her victims reincarnated as her babies.
And what the hell happened to Ms. Spell bitch on the cliff face? Is she up there watching the battle and smirking? Or what?
Wait. Wait. Wait.
Is anyone really gonna believe that Faden cast a spell on Typhan-Knee for the purposes of Good? Really?
@RBZ – It is indeed out of character for him, but his choices at the time were limited; http://www.exiern.com/2005/10/04/mistakes-were-made/
More importantly, Faden was anything but good and fairly sneaky. Does anybody really think white magic would do what he wanted it to?
There’s a sword in the background, in the brush. Wonder if Tiff sees it? I’m sure she’d rather consider the true reason for her transformation while sitting on Alicia’s severed head.
Based on the way the camera focuses on Alicia in panel 2 and then the sword in panel 3, I’m almost certain Typh did notice it.
@MNH Someone contact the King, tell him the engagement is back on.
meps98: was just about to mention that sword, and that fact it went from out of focus to in focus implies that, yes, Tiff has spotted it
Lizard t!!s is about to get skinned, barbeque for dinner!
Ooh, looks like Dragon-zilla is monologuing, after all.
As a herpetologist, I declare “lizard t!!s” to be the funniest oxymoron I’ve heard in a long time.
I’m pretty sure whatever the soell wants it’s not for Typh/Tiff to take the easy way out a.k.a. the way with no suffering
Art bugaboo/nitpick: How are Alicia’s pupils lighter than her irises, given that there doesn’t seem to be a bright lightsource reflecting back to the viewer?
Or do her eyes not function on lightwaves?
Owlmessenger: “Does anybody really think white magic would do what [Faden] wanted it to?”

@50’srefugee I wonder if this world has the equivalent of a naginata?
I bring up the Naginata because it’s a weapon a lot of women weilded in feudal Japan
Tiffany was right. She needs the stabbies.
An interesting argument.
And Typhan-Knee does have a lot to atone for.
I’m quite curious as to how this matter will resolve itself.
@Ban: well, we know she can handle a sword pretty effectively. Unless the naginata gives her enough of an advantage to overcome the learning curve, something I’m not competent to judge, I’d say stick with the blade she knows.
@Ben: There, see? I do know how your name is spelled. “Ban”, sheesh.
@Gallstone: “Typhan-Knee does have a lot to atone for.”
She very much does, and I’m very much afraid this is not one of those things where the balance can be redressed by acknowledging her sin and forgiving herself.

Here we go Time Manipulation Explained… http://www.exiern.com/2010/12/14/curse-explained/
I guess the spell will end when the two sides find “balance” but dreamer(s) only knows what that will be in that case
Don’t see how being born a female would change anything: she would still be a ‘Barbarian’, just a princess rather than a prince
You remember what kind of monster Typhan-Knee’s father was? And how he raised his son? How he treated the women in his camp?

I think even Faden thinks he doing the right thing.
I think we are heading to a what “if reality” or “A wonderful Life..”
