Something “Battle Beyond The Stars” taught me long ago: If you are going to die, take as many of that bastards with you as you can!!!! (the Valkyrie’s death always chokes me up :()
The color you see in the flash back is most likely caused by the artist applying a Sepia Filter or adjusting the tints to make it look like they used one to signify a flashback.
Oh, didn’t notice it was Sepia-washed, everything else seemed to be, umm, ‘normal’ coloured except for Lil’ Diana’s hair
Still, would have been cool if that shade of hair she has now was to remind her of her mother (or better yet, she washed her hair in their blood, but then again, weren’t they still alive when Tiff came home?)
I choose to believe that in a fantasy world with humanoid tigers, half-dragon librarians, mingalows, and Princess Peonie, that genetics does not work the same way as it does here and hair color is not quite as fixed as it is here. It makes things so much easier.
Uhl: no, fairly sure it’s not the same duo, there is no way Diana would have let them continue living, she would have arranged for an ‘accident’ for them instead of just bullying them
@Guesticus Agreed but I think that they might be there Fathers.. I could see Diane Not wanting to kill the kids because that would Make her as bad as them but still beat on them hoping they “Man UP” to the bitch slapping. And Give her the Excuse..
It would Justify the bullie treatment..
She wants to Fight them in a duel.. So she slaps them.. Perfectly acceptable in a Barbarian culture. You do not like it you leave and become a Farmer down south. Trouble is she gives them a slap hoping they want to Avenge there Honor and they look her in the EYE and say”Please, Ma’am, May I Have Another!!!” Both Being Spineless Wimps that rather Live with the insult as Chicken Barbarians than Die with Honor or go off as Farmers and keeping some pride. So she abuses the crap out of them and Hopes that they pick one or the other.. Bullying Justified.
Maybe if Tiger guy had a daughter or his Kids became Farmers or Accepted the Challenge(died with honor and provided Diane a fur coat), Or he had no kids all would explain why there was only those 2. Or maybe his kids wear decent and showed Shame.
@Jonathan Wint: You can actually credit Shipeng in a way for the similarities between the Kylkys-Vrgn (the dwarf) and Kal-Vale (the human) and the pair that Diana bullies. I hadn’t planned any particular connection (the younger pair were supposed to be those that had pursued Diana as a mate)… but when Shipeng sent me the proofs for their appearance…
It’s a better idea than what I came up it, I guess is what I’m trying to say.
P.S. Rawr-Hild (the hanzalo of the triad) had three cubs, but they were all full grown and married into other clans by the time the Raviner-Behr drama occurred. Their general thought on their father’s death is that he kinda had it coming.

Wow, her mom looked amazing, and I was right, she fought, and did not give up.
So, ‘Red’ Diana isn’t a natural Red? Or did she dye her hair in their blood?
@ Guseticus
That is so metal it has to be right XD

Diana IS a natural redhead. The sepia filter that Shipeng applies for flashback scenes can have some… interesting results, as far as I can tell.

Xenau: was actually thinking of “Drowtales” 😀

And Diana’s words have been added to my list of sayings.
@Guesticus no dead tiff’s Little brother thinks he killed them, in his berserker rage found them dead at his feet.(I still suspect Diane did that.)

3 on 1 against a woman, yeah these guys were pansies.
Stupid girl…
Death was not the enemy. Death is never the enemy.
The ones who deal it for their own convenience are.
Hey, look. It’s the dwarf and the shady Guy Diana pushed around earlier!
Gallstone: she never said that Death was the enemy, just that she wasn’t going to make it easy for him to take her spirit essence
Uhl: no, fairly sure it’s not the same duo, there is no way Diana would have let them continue living, she would have arranged for an ‘accident’ for them instead of just bullying them

When they send you to Hell – take some dogs along.
