Wait. I just had a disturbing thought. They were trying to turn Typh back into a child! So they, like Corriander, could do … unspeakable… things. Of course, they neglected what happened the last time someone messed with the curse. You can see from the outlines that they’re not just changing genders, they’re shrinking!
yea seriously, she have a unicorn that protects against all hostile magic, and a magical sword, an a natural resistance to magic, beyond being an epic level warriorress, the only one with enough muscle to capture her is the king, the one they rebelled against. Not smart.
I admit, I’m a bit surprised at this dumbassery. I like Uhl’s idea that they were trying to change Typh into a child for immoral purposes–but come on, dudes. Don’t try to change her.
Just kill her. Stop her heart. Fill her full of molten lead. Cover her in oil cloth. Drop a meteor on her.
Don’t work the spell on her. Work a spell against her.
Ah well. I wasn’t ready for this comic to end anyway.
I don’t think it was the Curse making things backfire, but North Wind deflecting the spellsinging. Note how all the points of reflection are on Northwind itself.
And it does indeed look like they tried to kidify Typh and now are kidifying themselves. Their facial proportions look more childish in the last panel.
Not certain if it was the curse or the Sword Holy Avengers from D&D under original description Perry Spells. But then again I always claimed the Sword was responsible for the Curse. It does not talk but if it can affect ink…Alter books… As well as Channel alter Magic a lot could be explained..
They also have breasts in the last panel.
The curse is spreading. Since it seems to be based on the persons view of what a ideal woman should be and they are misogynistic…
Well…I guess these four guys considered themselves the best of the best of the best. They figured they wouldn’t make the same mistake the local yocals did. They figured they had more power. And they probably do. They aren’t Cor’s inner circle and defense ring because they are pushovers I’m betting.
But they just ran into the world’s best spell mangler. She has the protection of a unicorn. She carries what is probably a fully intelligent sword that can do whatever needs doing to bring justice to a situation. And she is the living host of a living magical spell that is forcing her to live life as the kind of girl he always thought was too weak to be strong.
These four guys thought they were powerful enough to meet and beat any threat. They are learning that they are wrong right now…and that is truly poetic justice. One of the reasons I think others are right in saying that this is the sword acting.
And the sword might be a bit angry right now too. It just got forced to stab a nice person. If it’s really as intelligent as I think it might be, it’s got a serious chip on it’s hilt right now is going to give these four guys a whole heaping helping of justice…
I´m not sure if the sword is really sentient, or anything like that for the matter. I believe it to be more like a spell mangler (kind of a reflective shield) and the bearer, mind you, is under a very powerful curse. Remenber Tiff trying clothes in front of the mirror? She´s bound to a reactive curse, one that can not only affect her, but also outside forces trying to change the status “quo”, in a most punishing manner. Not a kind magic to mess with.
With luck if they ARE being turned into young females, their spell singing powers will also be regressed. Meaning Theresa now has 4 daughters to raise up into their powers and maybe truly punish them for their actions.
doubt it is so much turning into kids as they see and think of women and weak and *small*. really this kind of group would not think of “girls” as having actual breasts most likely. but what is more defenseless typically in such a mindset than a short girl with F+ cup chest?
besides, more get the feeling they are falling down from the spell reaction that seriously shrinking. it would be interesting to hear stated exactly what they were trying to do to tiff though.
really we have seen tiff shrink and grow multiple times based off of her current frame of mind.
it looks like their spells reflected off Tiff not her sword. Her curse protected her, as she said i can feel your spells.
My guess is this is how they treat their enemies. turn them into children and then abuse them for years. So this spell is probably their go to magic attack. These guys really are evil bastards.
They tried to make her younger to pose less of a threat.
Northwind’s magic helped reflect most of it.
But some of it still activated typhan’s curse.
As seen they are getting younger and growing breasts.
They are going to regress into teenage girls.
Hmmm, Hair didn’t change this time… or at least, it hasn’t yet. They do appear to be younger as well as female so it’s possible they we’re trying to cast a spell to turn her into a child.
If our previous look at a younger Typh is any indication, I doubt it would have helped them any more than turning Typh into a woman helped Faden. Best guess is that this is just a spell they all knew.
However… If they have a thing for young boys and they can presumably turn each other into (and probably back from) young boys… Why bother risking yourself and using ACTUAL young boys? They can just tag team with each other, which (while still sickening) is something begrudgingly passable.
“I hope none of those backfiring spells miss and hit an innocent bystander… like Peony.”
Peony has mystical protection of her own that will prevent her from losing her cleavage. Whatever else they can do to her, they can’t turn her into a little girl.
“However… If they have a thing for young boys and they can presumably turn each other into (and probably back from) young boys… Why bother risking yourself and using ACTUAL young boys? They can just tag team with each other, which (while still sickening) is something begrudgingly passable.”
Because rape isn’t about orgasms (masturbation can supply those), it’s about power. Voluntarily screwing each other doesn’t give them the abuser’s rush that hurting a child does.
This is why they’re the bad guys. If they had a thing for chidlren’s bodies that they only indulged in with consenting adults the wouldn’t be evil, just weird.
Two questions come into mind:
1. Was this attack rehearsed by Coriandor as part of the plan or as a contigency of a sort?
2. Did Coriandor dodged a bullet in regards to the situation or did he get the worse end of the deal? It is between the result of getting a groin shot and a boot to the…throat, or become girlified like those four (neither one of them is any good for his manliness in any ways)
I hope this is a more Permanent state for these guys..
And it may be..
1 the curse is growing in power.
2 they totally deserve it . Last time this happened it was with Tiff Allowing it and fighting the curse this time it was with her INTENT and Will Power Helping the curse.
@Geuesticus: Doesn’t the Church of Rem forbid women to Spellsing?
In any case if Coriander’s boys are misogynistic it seems unlikely there would be any girls among them.
Everyone calling for their harsh punishment, but I am not… at least not exactly. If I’m reading correctly, these acolytes are Coriander’s victims, too, and more than anything, need guidance more than suffering. They are not wholly innocent, so some real amends do need to be made, but the primary focus should be dealing with whatever brainwashing has befallen them to get to this point.
Well, look at it this way “guys”… You get a second childhood.
And hey, it’s usually easier to detox a child’s mind of brainwashing than an adults… Kinda. Not sure that would be the case here since only the Bodies are children… Herm… Yeah, okay at least you get the first thing I said on the matter anyway.
Agreed sexual abuse or control of sexuality is an effective way to control and twist anyone. That is why I support gay-rigths even if I find the concept wierd, helping leash the gays would be helping myself be leashed. “Noone is free in a slave-society.”

It’s OK, your spells should still work, just an octave up!
THAT was to be expected. The curse doesn’t like to be messed with.
Wow,
These fanatics sure are dumb. Ask Teresa.
Good grief. It’s not like there weren’t NUMEROUS priests of Rem the last time they tried this.
It’s just like the old saying “the definition of Insanity is trying the same thing over and over again, yet expecting a different result.”

Ok, transformation spells is what I am figuring here, and Tiff’s curse does not like it.
Then again, it been funny if she had to spend time as a little girl.
I hope none of those backfiring spells miss and hit an innocent bystander… like Peony.

Northwind might just have a special Purpose Like Justice or funnier and more neutral Irony..Or it just might have sense of humor.
They also have breasts in the last panel.

At this rate, the entirety of that male singing church is going to be female.
Maybe they should just issue a complete hands-off order on her?
Priest 1: Welp, that’s it. Pack it in guys, we can’t do anything to help here.
Priest 2: But..but we just got here, what about all those people?
Priest 1: Nope, THAT PERSON is here. Nothing we can do.
Neither Northwind nor the curse like the interference, y’all get to be little girls.
Har! You are Anime!
Very nice. Hope the results on them are drastic, both physically and mentally.
Well it looks like these four are in for some rough justice.
WHOO HOO!!!
You Go, Tiff … with some help of the North Wind!
With luck if they ARE being turned into young females, their spell singing powers will also be regressed. Meaning Theresa now has 4 daughters to raise up into their powers and maybe truly punish them for their actions.
A good punishment would be to raise them into good, tolerant daughters then.
Oops!
Wow, kidified AND genderbent… XD

The people who suggested the sword might be intelligent… made me think of…
https://youtu.be/bq6VM_r3Gwc?t=137
Yep, they are getting boobs..this should prove interesting.
How much you wanna bet the Northwind took whatever spell they were casting (could have been a harm spell) and just warped cause reasons?
Something tells me they weren’t trying to turn Typhan into a girl, so lets see WHAT they were going for~
Typh also fell down when the transformation took hold. Remember all the wristbands sagging down?
They tried to make her younger to pose less of a threat.
Northwind’s magic helped reflect most of it.
But some of it still activated typhan’s curse.
As seen they are getting younger and growing breasts.

The pedophile’s henchmen had a spell to turn an enemy into a child on speed-dial.
Ew. Just… ew.
“I hope none of those backfiring spells miss and hit an innocent bystander… like Peony.”
Peony has mystical protection of her own that will prevent her from losing her cleavage. Whatever else they can do to her, they can’t turn her into a little girl.

The operative word of the day is ‘titivation’.
Heh, thought the third one (the one with the straight edge haircut) already was a girl
Wait, were they seriously trying to turn Tiff into a girl? Was that a default attack because girls are ‘weak’? o_O
It looks like when the curse is messed with it responds ‘t!t’ for tat.
Two questions come into mind:
1. Was this attack rehearsed by Coriandor as part of the plan or as a contigency of a sort?

@ Makkabee: Agreed. To them it’s about power.
@O. B. Wan: I think it’s going to be t!t for t!t.
I hope this is a more Permanent state for these guys..

@Geuesticus: Doesn’t the Church of Rem forbid women to Spellsing?
In any case if Coriander’s boys are misogynistic it seems unlikely there would be any girls among them.
The North Wind and an aggressively anti-tampering curse. Not a great combo for them.
The coloring of the spells changes upon reflection. So they might have tried turning Typh into a boy. Not that that makes much more sense than a girl…
@David I think you have it and as for why they turn her into a boy? Because thats the spell they wear tort because there boss Likes Little Boys..
They should’ve done YMCA instead,
Everyone calling for their harsh punishment, but I am not… at least not exactly. sorry they are memebrs of a horribly repressive religious order death to every memebr of that church
