Swords, Sorcery, And Then Some!
Howdy, New Readers! Thanks for reading Exiern!
Written by Scott T. Hicken with art by Antipus, the comic updates Mondays. Please check out the Archive to enjoy the earlier adventures of Typh and Peonie!
Exiern contains mature themes and is best for readers 18+.
Wyll-line terrified of typhan-knee? Where’d she get that idea? And why? Last we saw, Melan-knee was clearly the better fighter, seeing as he beat Ravener-Bear when Typh was literally getting curbstomped.
Typhan-knee was a total psycho though. Wyll might be a competent fighter, or at least he’s a big guy with muscles, but all evidence suggests that Typhan-knee was a permanent roid-rager with more in common with Begbie from Trainspotting, or the villain from any 80s martial arts movie.
When we saw Will before, he had no reason to believe Tiff was Typh. So, of course he didn’t mind provoking her. But now he’s had time to review the evidence, think about and dread the accusation, and see Tiff return from what should have been an impossible mission. Diane might be right about Will’s fears. Certainly seems to explain Will’s face in those last few strips. He looked terrified. No matter their relative skills now, childhood fears are hard to shake off.
As for the fight with daddy, I don’t think Will challenged his father before stabbing him. If daddy was busy with mommy and Typh, he might not even have seen Will coming.
@Red Shadow Yep Wyll-line stabbing his dad in the back with the worlds most Powerful Sword Artifact (or at least up there) While he had just killed his wife and trying to kill his son… Really dose not count as a fair fight..
And Psycho factor counts.
Wyll-line believes Tiff Will kill him and is stronger and was abused by him over and over.. His defense was snark and Jerkdom. Insults and hope that it really REALLY IS NOT TYPHAN!
The guy Probably Imagined His Brother Killing him since he was a kid..
Even if he was the better fighter a big IF, Tiff would kill him because he already Lost in his mind. Dose not even matter if he knew why he would loose.. Fear wins. Fun Fact Humans can Easily Kill Pitbulls or any big Dog. Grab the Tongue there helpless.. The Dog will not be able to fight back in anyway..(this is completely true) Now go ahead and try it.. Fear wins.
@TJ “With the way he provoke her before” around other people. He would have to keep up an image else the whole tribe would just leave. But yeah this surprised me too.
Willie may be physically stronger, but Tiff is just plain psycho, plus she’s not afraid to fight dirty, the combination of which would make even a sane fighter scared (and an insane one plain dead)
Question: where did those whiny slackers get that food? (yes, do understand that it has been awhile since the Matron kicked them out of the eating lodge before evening meals, but seriously doubt this is currently happening at night/evening)

With the way he provoke her before, I find that hard to believe, but it seems like she is at least 1 step behind, which is good.
Looks like they have another woman that terrifies the men of the village.
Move.
Now.
Or.
Else.
It’s okay, Mutton Guy. You’re a barbarian, a little dirt won’t hurt.

Plus most of the boasting was in front of alot people. No was BIG BAD Leader would show fear especially of a “WOMAN” even if it were his brother.

The Red head is my kind of lady, fierce, loyal, and scary.
There are actually two details here that some might find interesting. I’ll tell you one of them (the other I won’t be so nice).
One; you’ve all met these two “guards” before. http://www.exiern.com/2012/11/15/some-cheese-with-that-whine/
I think other one is how Princess p-cup said Tiffany but redhead keeps calling Typhan-knee. Maybe she didn’t get the memo that tiff is a woman now. :p
And the fact Red Diane keeps referring to Tiff as Willies brother
Question: where did those whiny slackers get that food? (yes, do understand that it has been awhile since the Matron kicked them out of the eating lodge before evening meals, but seriously doubt this is currently happening at night/evening)
There actually had been some eating going on when Tiffany stomped in. She had kicked over the table in her challenge.
WHOA!!! Now That’s Power!
Just her presence caused these 2 to (maybe) do a double take.
chemiclord: Thought it just been a council meeting, don’t know why those two would even be allowed to eat in the same building as Willie
CPUGuy1: Of course, those two are weak slackers that are intimidated by the Matron
