Exiern contains mature themes and is best for readers 18+.
The difference between “far” and “far and wide”. As a mariner, the Captain has spent her entire career on the fringes of the realm, moving from port to port. Peonie has also traveled but only a few, far flung trips/adventures. Her life has not been very sheltered of late but she is not as well traveled as the Captain, who would be advised not to treat Peonie as a neophyte.
No, the distance Peonie travelled is relevant to where she started from
The only comparison going on is between the distance Peonie travelled and the Captain
Peonie’s travel may have covered a greater distance, butt the Captain has spent most of her life travelling, so, relatively speaking, Peonie has barely travelled at all
Nice use of nuance! It’s interesting getting reliable early information that all their disagreements are essentially professional in nature rather than unexamined prejudices. it promises meaty future problems.
Captain not really realistic weather she this worlds version of Sinbad or not.Not all things are Relative. Asking a Pampered Royal if they Traveled and realistically expecting “NO” or “to the Market” and Finding out they been to a Legendary Land and Spent time with a Tribe of Rapist Barbarians and Dragons should of come as at least.. WOW did not see that coming she might last a week..

*cough* Relative, not relevant.
No, fairly sure ‘relevant’ is used correctly in that instance
‘Relative’ would be comparing that to where the captain has travelled
You mean where Peonie has traveled. And yes, it should be “relative”.

…somehow, i sense a “BUT” coming after that last balloon…
and probably followed by “I know what you haven’t”

Politics in a nutshell: “Stop using the law to enforce biases.” “My dear, I use the law to enforce the law.”
