Exiern contains mature themes and is best for readers 18+.
I guess magical…stuff is common enough in this world that things like this don’t really shock people? Everyone seems to take the “Typhan is a woman now” pretty well in stride.
Nah I like Diana, no nonsense will do whatever it takes to protect the chief/her lover even if it means killing family. On flip side I never could pass up a red head like that.
@PShark: Apparently the only and *absolutely only* barbarian truly surprised/annoyed by the whole thing is Tiff herself. Even Wyll only used it as excuse not to fight his brother/sister, because he feared him/her. Everyone else just says “Meh, there is more important stuff.”
That is an odd comment by Diana. The way it’s worded, it sounds like something that Wyll would say if he had also been turned into a woman and was pissed that Typh was better looking. Why would Diana care how good looking Typh is? Maybe if she knew that Wyll has an inferiority complex and was just feeling empathetic about it.
Considering the dangerous life style Tiff-phan-nee lead, magical accidents or curses were bound to happen. In a world of magic and might, stuff like this is bound to happen. So in grand old military fashion, “adapt and overcome.”
Is there something missin between this page and the previous one?
The previous ended with:
“where is Typhan-knee anyway?”
“I take it you weren’t listening when I told you.”
So ist there something missing or did Diana ignore that Information on purpose?!?
I mean, why shouldn’t someone listen what his/her chief is telling them?!?
It’s very clear whats going on here. Although Typh thinks Wyll hates her it appears that Diana cannot stand all the “Typh is so great” talk she was hearing from Wyll.
It seems to me Wyll admired his brother rather than reviled him.
@chemiclord: well, it’s perfectly possible that omitting that first sentence was not feasible before Shipeng Lee did his work. But now I find it funnier to let the drawings replace that first sentence: they do it quite eloquently.
You guys are missing the point of what Red said. Tiff was a wonder kid and still is. She feared nothing and never failed while her brother who was larger and no doubt stronger could not keep up. Also they clearly knew each other. Tiff was the chief’s first son and as such would have been known by everyone in the village. They are clearly close to the same age Red Tiff and wyll so they most likely would have known each other.
Red seams a bit miffed that Tiff turned in to a very good looking woman but Tiff and wyll’s mom was good looking so it shouldn’t have been a big surprise in fact Tiff probably looks some what like her mom.
I think Diana knew typh and Will from childhood and she was second best fighter in the tribe among their age group. So she is referring Typh being a better fighter and now looking better woman which I think Diana was going to at least claim ‘yeah at least I beat you on that’ once she saw typh but it was thrown out of the window :p
Nah, I don’t think so. Otherwise she wouldn’t have referred to the old lady as her mom. There also doesn’t seem to be enough inconsistencies in the way they have thus far interacted with Tiff and crew to suggest a problem of this nature
I’m thinking perhaps she and Tiff were close friends growing up or something… in a competitive way… Diana probably even had a crush on guy Tiff and was being competitive to show her worthyness, but when Tiff turned out to be gay.. well
Altho, Nick D Waters could be onto something since Tiff doesn’t seem to know or interact with Diana as if they knew each other in the past.
“Methinks Diana may not really be Diana but Wyll. Maybe Wyll and Diana swapped ” – I take it as a very strong case of empathy with her boyfriend. Sometimes especially older couples can look at each other and usually guess what other one is thinking.
Wyll and Diana being “in love” may have long talks with each other, and not keep any secrets.
@David @XSlayer nope Diane was clear that was her Grandmother she split, And Melan-Knee was terrified of his Brother, Also Melan-Knee had a memory flashback. But it was a cool idea!
I think Diana is trolling here. She probably knows Typhan well enough to realize he wouldn’t want to win at being a “better looking woman” than Diana. She probably doesn’t think (or even care if) Tiffany is better looking than her, she just want to get under Typhan’s skin.

Okay … excuse me as I Roll On The Floor Splitting My Sides With Laughter.
Well, At least Diana recognized Tiff … after a few seconds.
I laughed. 😀
I guess magical…stuff is common enough in this world that things like this don’t really shock people? Everyone seems to take the “Typhan is a woman now” pretty well in stride.
And jealousy rears its bloody axe head…
I think Diana is better looking…
*cue flak*

Ugh. That’s insulting and more than a little cliche. I’m disappointed, I really thought Diana was a bit more badass than that.
Sister-in-laws about to have a fight? Poor Tiff again looks so sad
Question: have Typhan-knee and Diana met as children?

@meps98: I think it was just Diana being crotchety. She also no doubt has been told the stories from Wyll of Typhan always besting the little brother.

Almost every woman I’ve ever met seems to think that other women look better than them. Maybe it’s how society trains people?
I’d like the last panel way better with the first sentence elided. It flattens the punch line.
Panel 2. Typh should not be backing away AT ALL. And her Panel 4 pout doesn’t make a lot of sense.
And this is why I don’t tell jokes very often.
OK, she just earned he Snark Knight badge…

Bwa ha ha
Be comforted, Chemiclord – it was funny. 😀
I prefer redheads myself, but perhaps they should wrestle naked in a pool of jello…you know, just to settle the matter completely.

Me-ow! I am sensing a woman scorned here. I bet Diana pursued Typh as a boy, and was quite confused and angered when he wasn’t interested.
@chemiclord: well, it’s perfectly possible that omitting that first sentence was not feasible before Shipeng Lee did his work. But now I find it funnier to let the drawings replace that first sentence: they do it quite eloquently.
*sound of the thousands of people hitting the floor laughing*
Somehow, I don’t think Diana really cares that much about appearances or is all that threatened by them. What’s Typhan going to do.. steal her man?
Women are very jealous of each other in the looks department in general, and a de facto tranny that looks better, more so.

How com I suspect a Cat fight between them would involves Two Handed Swords?

I was re-reading “the line”. It could be read as if Diana were also trannied at some point.
Wow, my Jealous hope came true, just differently then I planed.
This was golden. Well played, dude. Well played. 🙂
Methinks Diana may not really be Diana but Wyll. Maybe Wyll and Diana swapped bodies by a curse….?
Nick D Waters & X Slayer: both of those ideas are seriously freakily creepy o_O
Just noticed, in panel 3, Red Di is looking down at Tiff’s bewbs 😀
@XSlayer

Sniff… “Next” button not working anymore. Want more!
=OP
Diana and Typhan-Knee knew each other… though Diana and Melan-Knee were much closer.
a complimenting insult. For once TYphan-Knee has a break.

@Vipre
With Princess P-Cups in there acting as the ref.

I don’t know, she seems sincere
Except no, he doesn’t.
At least in my opinion. Red is definitely the better-looking.
