Woot 1st post! Let’s see if it registers this time.
So… my crass response is her boobs have magical powers; same token is somewhere along the lines of Fry in Futurama lacking a delta wave by effectively being his own grandfather – lineage issues aside, Peonie might have something similiar.
Slightly more reasonable ressponse, she is a a lot sharper and keen than her ditzy “I’m a princess” personality reflects. She is afterall “starting” to show it with her discussions with Typh and others.
^^; Zanith has gone where many of the readers have probably wished to go… and where no character shown in the comic has been. Yet. *helpless laughter*
@ TajZ: I think it has been said that Peonie has a keen mind, but that it was dulled a bit during her imprisonment by Faden — and that she is making a gradual comeback. Considering her ancestry, she may be dangerously intelligent. 😉 Good for her if she is.
back @ ya Gallstone, as it also implies Urtica does in fact potentially see her as a threat his throne; he wasn’t exactly in a rush to see her returned to the capitol.
I thought the problem with returning Peonie home was more that Faden was dangerously powerful, as well as a sovereign ruler. Urtica moving troops into his territory would more than likely have sparked off a war, which would have delayed the rescue — and considering Faden’s plans for Peonie, delay was unacceptable. Not to mention Faden scared — and scares — people spitless, and Urtica’s armies might have revolted at the thought of attacking his stronghold.
Or it is just that Peonie is so close in wit to inanimate matter that the end of the world can reflect a future or smarter Peonie onto her. For a master writer, an empty page possesses more power than a filled one.
Yeah, see the scream about a dragon didn’t make much sense since they say a dragon on the way in, but mini-dragon taking a boob dive…
I guess there isn’t a suggestion that Peonie is magic or particularly special. Just of very keen intelligence. Which I guess we did know from her dealings with her father.
Heck, she was the first to notice Tiff changing physically… But the last to see Neils was bewitched… What ever happened to Neils’ lightning sword anyway?
His lightning sword sparks on command, but Niels finds it more useful for intimidation rather than actual killing (he knows what his blade will do when he swings it, electricity is a little more unpredictable in that regard). So against foes who aren’t easily intimidated (like the Mingalow) he doesn’t even bother.
To be honest, I haven’t quite decided yet if the electrical field it generates can assuredly be fatal on its own, or if it’s of a lower voltage and amperage by design (serving as the Exiern equivalent of a taser) to incapacitate.
Zanith may simply be raiding Victorias’s Secret Compartment to hitch a ride out. I don’t thik he fancies flying over a rather large frozen tundra if he doesn’t have to.
I suspect that that dragon is making fun of Peonie. I think that she’s going to tell Denver that they were fair game because they were not covered by clothes. That would fit in with how playful she is.
Hey, if this is Like a Possession and Linda blair threw up Pee soup will Princess throw up Breast Milk??? 😉 And did I just hit a all time Low in low brow humor?
I think it is more that reality is warped there than that Peonie lost her pants or that Tiff’s changed color. The dragon seemed to imply that she was seeing things as they were a few panels back and the sage implied that the curse could be different tomorrow and it would always have been that way.
Be a Producer! Your name/title with an optional SFW hyperlink will be posted prominently HERE following the close of the month! You’ll also receive monthly mailings from Exiern’s author, Scott T. Hicken!

So what’s with Peoine’s considerable assets to attract a dragon? Especially a slightly out of phase dragon?
We know dragons are born as humans to hide them when they’re vulnerable. Peonie may have just gotten herself pregnant.
If true, the RW timing of this comic is rather ironic.
Zanith may simply be raiding Victorias’s Secret Compartment to hitch a ride out. I don’t thik he fancies flying over a rather large frozen tundra if he doesn’t have to.
Peonie has very interest fourth-wall breaking powers: in every panel that her eyes are open, she’s looking at the speech balloons.
Pervy mini dragon is pervy (lucky little blighter… until Princess P-cups gets a firm grip on its tail)
HA!
Voices in your head, AND from your breasts!
Hey, for a dragon that loves to sleep, don’t you think she would be able to identify a great pair of pillows?
Is The Great Mother Dragon Wyrm a Lesbian with a Crush? BWHA HA HA HA!
@ Hikaro
I’m guessing she’s looking at the direction the “voice” is appearing to come from.
I just had a interesting thought could this Dragon mean that when it takes other forms it also Merges with them,???????????
Peonie and her Draconian Breasts! Now there a interesting Dragon Cave.
@ Chemiclord: ‘Great’? Great?
Surely you jest, my good sir.
…
Peonie has epic ‘pillows’. 😉
It’s a wonder they don’t have their own little moons. :p
Magic boobs.
Does that mean Exiern is going to have a crossover with Trigger Star?
I suspect that that dragon is making fun of Peonie. I think that she’s going to tell Denver that they were fair game because they were not covered by clothes. That would fit in with how playful she is.
I took it that she has a keen sense of reality, meaning she lacks imagination. It’s not really an indication of wit or intelligence.
Francisco: actually, this time, they were covered (she got dressed before she got molested by the horny lizard)
Jo: well, she did kind of ‘create’ the Mingalo, retroactively
Guesticus,
Not the area that the dragon entered at.
In any case, if I’m right, then that would annoy Peonie more for the same reason you mentioned.
Hey, if this is Like a Possession and Linda blair threw up Pee soup will Princess throw up Breast Milk??? 😉 And did I just hit a all time Low in low brow humor?
Well, they are as covered up as they are going to be (and it’s not like she is known for wearing a mumu)
And please, don’t justify the assault because she’s not bundled up tighter than Niels
I think it is more that reality is warped there than that Peonie lost her pants or that Tiff’s changed color. The dragon seemed to imply that she was seeing things as they were a few panels back and the sage implied that the curse could be different tomorrow and it would always have been that way.
Last panel had me rolling.
