Wow. Our little Peonie’s grown up! Well, good. Urtica’s not going to live forever. (Despite how badass he is!)
@Nicolas, well their kingdom DOES have a constitution. The monarchy is NOT absolute there. (It’s been shown several times with the “monologue” character skits.)
It’s refreshing to see that Peonie doesn’t want to be “bait” any more. 🙂
I have lived a few years in the arctic & I finally have to admit that the hoods of their parkas are really bothering me. They’re too tight. Loosen them up a bit – give some airspace around the faces, please. Those things wouldn’t keep anybody warm north of a temperate zone. Inuit parkas are generally very loose fitting (& understandably, very difficult to show the person inside. Heck I remember hiding in the middle of a group of Inuit with my hood up & no one noticed my reddish beard.) but still …
Was thinking of Kenny from South Park, when he gets scared he pulls on his toggles and closes up even more than usual 😀
And while it might not have been Niels’ place to suggest the training, it certainly is his place to start the training (doubt Kingie would disaprove, seeing how it is initiated by the Princess)
With Peonie displaying much more clarity of thought I am wondering if her brain is silicon based and the colder it gets the more thinking power she has.
@ Nicolas & Uhl: While they have a constitution, I have a sneaking suspicion that King Machiavelli — err, Urtica — ignores it whenever he feels that is most expedient.

Dawww the little princess wants to grow up.
About time.
Queen Peonie….
what a horrifying (or hilarious if you aren’t one of her subjects) thought …

Stupid constitution! Always interfering with Peonie’s despotic leanings!

Too tight? Or not tight enough?

Is it just the jerkass me or does it seem that in her case, more clothing seems suddenly more brain? (or just thought)
I think it will be interesting to see how she develops.

“Fine, just come back inside the panel border before anyone sees.”
Poor Peonie. Stuck in a situation where her best defence of nudity would likely cause her death by cold.
With Peonie displaying much more clarity of thought I am wondering if her brain is silicon based and the colder it gets the more thinking power she has.
*slow applause*
Well done, Peonie. Well done.
If you do become queen, I hope you’ll be more righteous than your father, but no less effective.

Nice page, but there seems to be a comment missing:
In the penultimate panel, shouldn’t it be-
“I (am) not going to be(come) a queen overnight”
?
Nice catch. It should say, “I’M not…”
