I accidentally posted the pages in the wrong order! THIS is really the next page. I’ll have the one many of you saw already today posted next week (should have all comments preserved) and we’ll be back on schedule. Sorry for any confusion, everyone!
Also, the coat wouldn’t fit UNDER the plate mail, and exposed metal would conduct the cold directly to his skin and give him a very bad case of freezer burn.
I hope his underclothings under the armor are thicker than usual as well.
Well the armor might be magic, or not metal at all but some kind of reinforced synthetic.
Okay so, that loose strand of hair went from looking girly and sexy to looking stupid very quickly. I realize that it’s a key part of her look under the current art style, but this is going a little too far. If it’s that long, there is no reason Tiff couldn’t have tucked it into the hood with all of the rest.
Possibly the lock is a part of the curse with Typh’s imagination of how a woman should look. Hair length seems to rely on that for her which is likely why she will probably never need to wax armpits, legs and bikini line unless she one day starts to believe that women should have them grown.
For some reason I feel like we’re going to get a foreboding feeling as they leave. Maybe Grina’s husband or something.
Don’t worry too much about that cold armor contacting the skin, there are many layers of cloth padding underneath all the time. The miracle is Neils not spontaneously combusting in the heat of summer in all that padding and hot metal. 😉
thin iron is not that great a conductor of heat, so similar to how a stud wall can be made with thinner metal stud in place of wood and still have similar R value, the extra clothing on top of armor does add *some* insulation on top of what is below the armor.
The clothing may help reduce the calories needed to stay warm, especially at night sleeping on the very cold ground.
Be a Producer! Your name/title with an optional SFW hyperlink will be posted prominently HERE following the close of the month! You’ll also receive monthly mailings from Exiern’s author, Scott T. Hicken!

though it seemed like quite the jump, and man Tiff’s hair is getting long.
@DJ: All her hair, or just the one in front? 😉
whoa. for once peonie is not dressed sluttily.
so why put cloak over plate mail?
qwert: Who cares? its hilarious!
Poor Princess, still looks like a little girl 😀
And Niels does not look like a happy camper in the first panel :D:D:D:D
@qwert – TVtropes has a name for it. It’s called Rule of Funny
Also, the coat wouldn’t fit UNDER the plate mail, and exposed metal would conduct the cold directly to his skin and give him a very bad case of freezer burn.
qwert: Elfguy‘s got it.
Minor point: It is not “plate mail”; there is no such thing.
Properly “mail” is what is usually called (incorrectly) “chain mail” – it’s actually correctly referred to as simply “mail”.
What he’s wearing is just “plate” (or, possibly, “plate armor”)
@anony, Yes she is!
She just covered the slutty stuff up with layers of warm stuff.
I hope his underclothings under the armor are thicker than usual as well.

Going by Peonies expression in the first panel, her thoughts are: “Why does she get to dress like that, but I have to be dressed like this!!!”
Heh heh, she’s even wearing mittens to make de-dressing even more difficult :D:D:D
Tsurugi: that hair’s not getting long – it’s just making its escape.
“After soo many years, finally, freedom! Wait, it’s frickin cold out here, tuck me back in!”
Am I the only one who doesn’t trust Grina – or those extra rations?
Hmm, so those are the poisoned rations.
damn lack of an edit button.
@Deanatay, I did up until that last panel.
Seeing Niels made me laugh out loud.
LOL @ Niels
I think it’s more a case of “We have so much fish now thanks to dragon boi there, take some with you!”

@Insectoid was refering to that forelock, but now you’ve given me disturbing images of Tiff needing to do some trimming.
Tiffany’s actually thinking the same thing, JMV, if you see her frustration with Panel 2. That damn lock has a mind of its own.

No. You’re not.
Specially that last line
Has anyone considered that maybe it was Grina who was responsible for the coup?

I was reading thru the archives, and came upon this, and realized – we’re probably going to run into an ice dragon up here…

You know, for all those “armor would be so cold” people.
Guys, his armor not only has glowy spots, it’s keeping his face blacked out in full sunlight.
Any bets it’s closer to a metroid suit than simple plate?
God damn, I have no idea why, but Neils makes my lady parts tingle like no one else. Fuckin’ LOVE that man. Rrrrowl.
