I think he’s more concerned about your mother than your Dad there Sideshow Mel. Nice try, but you are a bit too brutal to try shmoozing, maybe if you’d offered Hospitality (capital letter intended) instead of forced labour you’d do better.
Nice to see the return of the Tiger-guy from the tavern arc in the background.
Hey, anyone else finding that the last few characters in the comment line are getting chopped off? I seem to be missing about 4 or 5 character spaces on the right hand side of the column.
So far, Melan-knee persists in being the only human member of this clan.
(BTW, clearly not the same character from the pub arc. There is clearly a race of cat-folk in this world.)
Yes, the lines are being cut off, hope it doesn’t happen to mine…
The first Exiern Comic featuring Typan-Knee (at the time and unnamed barbarian in a comic call “Dimension Hopping”) was posted on August 2005 in the Wotch forms. The first Dimension Hopping comic website went live in September of 2005. Exiern got it’s own independent site in some time in 2006 and shortly after got it’s first paid artist in October 2006.
So depending on when you measure from Exiern is 6 to 7 years old.
starting to wonder if Mel is really that bad of a guy… I mean apart from a little masculinity stroking, rage pushing the horse (which might have been justified, what with accusing him of being someone who hires people to kill for him), and lack of hospitality (again could be justified because more people puts a strain in their winter stores, and feeding mouths who do not contribute would be counterproductive) . but other than that, he really hasn’t been the evil manipulative baddy I thought he’d be….then again the story hasn’t progressed long enough, so idk….
@Lovesoutcast. Mel is deliberately trying to provoke Neils into a confrontation so that he can be killed “legally” and then any number of “accidents” could happen to Typh, and Peonie would have to move into his tent because she’d be “alone and helpless.”
Wait, since his father was the prior chief, which led the raid taking Neil’s sister, and the successor, Mel, ordered all “foreigners” executed, that means Mel had his own mother killed!
Love the clue title 😀 I did not realized there was a new page from earlier, I guess the anniversary page threw me off.
it-it- the f – it -flam – flames. Flames, on the side of my face, breathing-breathl- heaving breaths. Heaving breaths… Heathing…
Be a Producer! Your name/title with an optional SFW hyperlink will be posted prominently HERE following the close of the month! You’ll also receive monthly mailings from Exiern’s author, Scott T. Hicken!
Obviously, Melan-Knee didn’t get the warning about not poking armoured bears.
If Niels ever takes his helmet off I am betting he looks just like Melan-Knee apart from hair colour.
Is that Tony the Tiger gathering wood?

@CoyoteChips
It looks a lot like him.

It did. D’ohh!
Long lines truncated
A glitch in the Comment app–
Hey, someone, fix it!
I asked a question–
“How many years, Exiern?”
Silence — no respect.
Melan-Knee, it seems,
Is sucking up to Glow-Eyes–
What is this guy’s game?
Starting to wonder why Blonds are Foreign blood but But Dwarfs Elves and Catmen are ok.
Crud, issues stem from the new Twitter update…will try to fix.
Oh, and Exiern’s been running 6 years by my count.
I’m wondering about the nature of Niels and Bohr in general. Their armor appears enchanted, or do they possess powers of some sort?
There…lines looking okay now?
Ah, yep issue fixed. Quickly and with style :o) Thank you.
And yet again I mess up my smiley, I never learn.
Someone is about to get their a!s kicked and its not Niels.
That guy ain’t no diplomat that’s for sure…
We need a large single of that last panel for memes.

Nice nod to the movie “Clue” in the title. 🙂

Why is Mel’s hand invisible in the first image?
@ Doc Savage – thanks for recognizing
@ JMV – nice catch…totally missed that…
Word are cheap Mel, words are cheap.
1. sticking him with the elder/old men of the tribe
2. I am not my father? really? That’s just asking for a rumble.

Talking of clues, are the names Niels & Bohr a pointer? &, if so, to what? 🙂
