Smooth…a lesson real life politicians could learn from (instead of their usual squabbling over all or nothing ego-boosters). So Tiff is now formally a knight, well at least she is still a “sir” in one way.
Hmm…..I somehow have this feeling this won’t end the king’s advances. I think it all has caused is a checkmate. He’s done what is necessary to keep her there, and give him time to do what he wishes. As he said in a previous page, he has no desire to have eye candy, but a competent queen.
@ Dorsai. Boris, he WAS alive after the fight with the Songstress. Don’t know if her death broke the spell hold on him, or he was captured, interrogated, executed.
@ Len, love the way you think.
@CrypticMirror. Indeed, King Urtica is very Machiavellian. In a good way.
Notice the color of the eyes, that’s Neils, the one who was ensorcelled. Bohr is the other one, whom jumped in front of the kids fireball and has been unconscious since. Bohr has purple eyes, Neils has yellow. I’m glad to see he’s back in shape, but I wonder what Urtica put in place to reascertain his loyalty. Neils did take out the third lance after all, I find it hard to believe Urtica would accept that Neil’s is back on his side just because Neil’s says he is.
@ chemiclord
Don’t take this the wrong way, but I wish there was an easier way to differentiate Bhors and Neils. I get that when they are both together, the whole twin tonnes of armour really does work as a visual metaphor (they are supposed to be interchangeable), but when you’ve got them acting independently, or having individual story-actions, then telling which is which is important. Eye colour is just too fiddly really.

But only in that way.
Also, I wonder what`ll happen once she is “Sir`d” the first time 😉
But the King does keep his image of competence and knowing where to focus on what. Well done.
Edit: where=when, editing might be helpful.

Ok now I am wondering what happened to Boris? Is he dead or just now being deprogrammed?

Our Nixxistix is going to be upset. Now the king is messing with “her” people.

If I was Tiff, I’d start making regular withdrawals from the Treasure Room right now to build up her Retirement Horde for when all hell breaks lose.
For the record, that is supposed to be Bohrs. Neils is… undergoing correction.
@Azure, technically, King Urtica is a good ruler in a Machiavellian way.
I thought the eye glow had more to do with their mood anyway.
Wheels within wheels…like a circle in a spiral…This king’s theme song should be “Windmills of your Mind”

Hmmm, or maybe, in a slightly more funny way, “The Circle of Life”? 😛
@CrypticMirror I think it’s funny that we can’t tell. It’s like a running gag. @GrimGhost I guess I am everyone’s Nix.
All hail King Xanatos!
