The only thing that could make this more awesome is if the Dragon woke up and believed that he had to save the Fire-Breathing Knights In Shining Armor from the Fair Maiden.
“My Hair! He shot my hair. BASTARDS!” – Vespa, the Druish Princess, Spaceballs
Lesson learned: You shouldn’t have touched her hair. Now it’s hurtz all the way down. The Fracture may have been an interesting group with a complex, light-and-dark back story, but none of that matters now, cuz they messed with the hair. Their future is blackness and pain.
The dweeb explained it to the King some time ago. Tiffany is becoming what she perceives her idea woman as being because of the spell. Change the attitude, change the outcome “Brother” Theresa is a Genius!
So, basically, Tiff is a woman as she perceives to be the correct way for a woman to be… and with further exposure to Theresa rather than the pampered society ladies at the party… Typhan-knee is back? Yay!
I’m honestly a bit disappointed. The whiny Tiff was horrible, so I’m glad to get the old Tiff back, but it seemed way to easy. One minute she looked ready to give up, and a single thwack with a candlestick later, she’s kicking a!s again.
I am a little disappointed in the sudden change – there was a set up for a longer mental battle building up, and while I understand the idea to have her “fight against the new ‘mind set’ of her new body” I do feel there was little to no transistion between the falling under the new ‘expected personality’ and then the “Kicking a!s Tiff” again.
I do hope that you do explore more in the future the mental shift that Tiff is having to deal with – especially around her sexest feeling that woman like her should be submissive, and feminine – but the thing is it shouldn’t need to be black and white – I think your readers are intelligent enough to allow a long term story without the “quick” switching this comic certainly is doing from time to time.
Other than that, I love this comic – I love your art 😀
I don’t think the transition was all that abrupt. Remember that Tiffany can enter a rage mode easily: this is a racial characteristic of sorts. Her situation otherwise hasn’t changed: when the berserk mode is off, the struggle between submissive Tiff and warrior Tiff will probably continue.
Hope she keeps the new sword as well as her magic Sword with built in safety.
As this one should have trouble butchering humans AND LOOKS WAY COOLER!
Besides I always picture Tiff as a 2 swords sort of Girl!
PS that dress on her taller form really looks like a mini!
All good points folks but the key one is Typhon-Knee is back! Yes it is likely temporary. Barbarian rage overcoming mindset to reverse the spell. Looks like a complete reversal too, which I didn’t expect. Good catch on seeing she got larger again everyone.
Think of the implications though. Theresa can, according to the conversation between the King and Dweeb earlier, halt the transformation. Once the collar is off I expect she will do that. Now the question is, Did we want it halted or reversed? I prefer to see Tiff this way. What we have here is a perfect setup to get that.
Trigger Berserk Rage and Tiff becomes her old self, THEN freeze the transformation. A bloody brilliant solution. Until that collar comes off though, there’s no way it will happen. This is a brilliant writing solution by our new author people! No quick fix, just a solution that we can see. Now the tension builds. When will the characters see it? How long till the collar comes off? What will happen in the meantime as Tiff tries to save the Dragon from the Fire-Breathing Knights? Will Princess Peonie ever find clothes?
With a comic that updates only once or twice a week, you can’t draw out the mental battle too long or it just becomes tedious. Its always been an issue with comics, especially web and newspaper comics (the few who tried to have a story) that everything has to pass quickly or you’ll spend a real year just doing one scene.
I do also wish to note that the value of femininity is not the only mental battle Tiffany has to come to grips with… but that is a story for another time (eventually)…
“I do hope that you do explore more in the future the mental shift that Tiff is having to deal with – especially around her sexest feeling that woman like her should be submissive, and feminine ”
What if… every time she’s splashed with cold water she becomes Tiffany, and only becomes Typhon-Knee again when threatened with violence ?
Don’t make her angry, Mr. Magee. You wouldn’t LIKE her when she’s angry.
I’m excited to see Typh back… but, as a few have stated before me, it seems too abrupt. While I don’t want her reverting immediately back to meek little Tiffany, I do hope once the fighting is over she does experience some kind of… fluctuation between the 2 poles, or a reasonable mental quandary over the whole situation. Something to give a bit more depth to the situation.
Just to counter the whole “sudden shift/ too easy” thing, I have to point out, that Tiff is acting according to her life-long paradigm. The weak girl motif is an ill fitting dress that for a while was winning the long drawn out psychological war. A bit of brutal head bludgeoning was all it too to make him/her start to act like her/himself again. Basically, get rid of the society telling her what to think, add a lot of rage and *poof* there is our favorite barbarian.
Guys, this is not Tiff changing her views and therefore the way the curse progresses – if it was then yes, it would be very abrupt. Curse was transforming her into the way she was thinking a woman would be. She didn’t start thinking otherwise, she just stopped thinking altogether. In other words, this is not a transition between “thinking women are weak and useless” to “hey, I can do the things I used to despite being a woman”. This is a transition between “women are weak and useless” to “RAAAAAAARGH!!! KILL YOU ALL!!!”
If I can say, the curse seems more on her mental image of herself more than on what she thinks a woman should be. She started becoming more and more feminine as she got ready for the ball and tried to act more feminine to fit in. Now “Brother” Theresa has pissed her off and she remembers she is still a barbarian. While the transition from meek and weak back to strong and badass is a bit abrupt, that seems to be the best explanation of what happened to me.

HECK YA!
YEAH!! Warrior Tiff is back. 😀
FINALLY! Typhon-Knee is BACK!
The only thing that could make this more awesome is if the Dragon woke up and believed that he had to save the Fire-Breathing Knights In Shining Armor from the Fair Maiden.
Coincidentally, how a barbarian parties is also how a barbarian kicks a!s. Just warning you, Fire Knight.
Once Tiff realizes that Peonie’s in trouble — again! — The human knight who got turned will be finding out how truly awesome a barbarian parties, too!
I can’t wait to see now Daddy Dearest reacts to the return of Tiffany the barbarian and hopefully watch *his* a!s get knocked around, too!
@Marlene why should the King be knocked around? He’s been the one acting sensibly, and actually wants a barbarian Tiff. I totally ship them.

The Typh is back and the knights are in trouble! Hey-aye, hey-aye, the Typh is back!
…whoa. o.O She knocked its head right off with just a punch!
*Sheads a tear of joy* TYphan-Knee is coming back. I hope she stays, she is much more exciting than Tiffany.
I will enjoy this. >:D
The dweeb explained it to the King some time ago. Tiffany is becoming what she perceives her idea woman as being because of the spell. Change the attitude, change the outcome “Brother” Theresa is a Genius!
WOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOT!!!
Now is the time on Sprockets when we dance!
You sliced my hair! Now you die!
GO TIFF! KILL! KILL! KILL!
A plate helm wouldn’t be fun to punch. It would probably just make her more angry.

The transition just seemed to abrupt.
*too* abrupt.
Most important PART GUYS let us not forget as Tiff get’s taller the skirt GET SHORTER!

Now she’s going to party like it’s 97,000,000BC
Hope she keeps the new sword as well as her magic Sword with built in safety.

She returned to her own ways but the dress remains barbarian ripping proof.

Love the reference to the Rock Em Sock Em Robot game…she knocked his block off!

In barbarian lands, you don’t find party… party finds you and kicks your backside.
She’s all out of gum.
