They don’t. But my guess is that Theresa figures if she can get Tiff mad ENOUGH, she might trigger the fire-berserker thing that she accidentally set off before. A berserker Tiff would not care that she is ONLY female.
Remember, this is Tiff. Hitting her in the head completely misses all her vital spots. Which are well-protected, at present, behind that adamantine heavy plate armor cunningly disguised as an evening dress she’s wearing. Her head’s the only exposed area.
Well, OK, not the only, not by a long shot, but it’s still the best place to hit her. Especially if you’re trying to make her mad.
She might be trying to get Tiffany mad… OR she could be trying to remind her that they’ve established her female form, despite being weaker, can take at least as much punishment if not more than her old one. Fire breathing knights can still be beaten if they can’t hurt her!
Remember, you don’t want to get Tiffany angry, you wouldn’t like her when she’s angry. Unless you’re behind her & there are people with swords & magic coming through her at you.
Drowemos, let me see if I have this straight. You wrote the characters to the point where:
* Mira is (probably) in trouble
* Ctyx is in trouble
* Peonie will probably be dead before dawn, killed by Gelateonies
* Teresa, Tiffany, and Denver are seconds away from death (which makes this the perfect time for the old man to pop in and yell “DOOM!”)
— and then you said to Chemiclord, “Well, guy, here’s your security-door card, here’s the password to your computer, and your parking space is 373. I’m off to Tahiti, so good luck. And by the way, don’t email me to ask what happens next in Exiern, because I have no ****ing idea!”
I’ll have you know that he want to MIAMI, not Tahiti. So there!
Actually, in all seriousness, Drowemos had a good idea just where he wanted to go with the story, and is very accepting of the fact that I’m taking it in directions he had not planned. If it goes to crap in a hurry, don’t hesitate to blame me.
I honestly can’t think of any good reason for Teresa to be clobbering Tiff with a torch right now, but I’ll bet in the next comic Tiff says something like, “Hey, maybe I should have let Peonie clobber me with that candlestick after all.”
@GrimGhost who said I gave him the passwords. He has to figure those out for himself.
Seriously though I gave him all my notes but there were some big things that I had not really plotted out only had a vague idea of where I wanted to go. But honestly I think that is for the best chemilord had to make the story his own if he is going to have fun with it.
I do find myself asking: are they in the hallway outside the room that Denver’s being held naked and the fire-breathing knights are standing? If so, why are they safe right now? Shouldn’t fire be scorching their hair right about now?
hey, even fire-breathing (since they have no mouths as their entire face is fire, can they be called fire-breathing?) bodyguards appreciate some girl-on-girl action 😛
OK, this is the second time that someone has taken “candlestick” to be the obvious escalation to “face-slap”. That would never have even occurred to me; is something wrong with me, or with them?
Be a Producer! Your name/title with an optional SFW hyperlink will be posted prominently HERE following the close of the month! You’ll also receive monthly mailings from Exiern’s author, Scott T. Hicken!
Yeah, traumatic blows to the head will help a lot, thanks Teresa.
how do they have time for this “conversation”?
They don’t. But my guess is that Theresa figures if she can get Tiff mad ENOUGH, she might trigger the fire-berserker thing that she accidentally set off before. A berserker Tiff would not care that she is ONLY female.
talking is a free action. apparently.
This is WAR Rookie, we don’t have time for your whimpering! XD
Indeed, if everything else fails, clob her on the head. Cant make things any WORSE now can it?
Not directly related, but at this point it’s still been less than 24 hours since they arrived in the city, right?
I knew it! It was Teresa in the Hall with the Candlestick!

Theresa’s been wanting to do that for a while, I’ll bet.
I think the best part about today comic, is remembering this one.

I think she did it just bc she could not stand the wining.
Theresa is telling Tiffany: “We need less compliant, servile breeding slave, more RARR KILL YOU ALL!”
I love how Theresa is sooo eloquent while being silent 🙂
@ TJ
yeah, seems like it’s always a fire-and-light-holding instrument that really makes Tiff snap out of it ;P

Hikaro, you made me laugh!

“the fire-breathing knights are standing?” The fire breathing knights are hoping for a catfight and taking bets on which girl is going to win.
