People hear what they want to hear, just as they see what they want to see, it’s the whole deal with those Masks the Fractured wear. Good trick, right?
The real question is why Tiffany *can’t* understand it, and why she can see the mask and not the illusion. Barbarian immunity? Interference from the gender-bend spell she’s under? Does Theresa also see it? Neils could, but only when he concentrated, so why does Tiff see without actually trying?
Interesting. The Bzzt that took out the first guy was small. The Bzzt that took out the guy that did the magefire was bigger but still not crazy big. This Bzzt is CRAZY BIG if the perspective and such is right. And our favorite dragon-librarian has the “my eyes don’t show because my glasses are so cool” look going on. Either it takes a crazy big Bzzt to take a dragon down, or a dragon NOT going down causes a crazy big feedback on Bzzter. I’m really interested in finding out which one it is…;)
I’ve worked it out! Denver is a parseltongue! Oh and Tiff apparently has Peonie’s script in this strip, because that sort of indignant tantrum is exactly how Peonie responds when things don’t go her way.
Tiffany is acting the way she is because she’s fully become a “weak and useless woman” now. Just look small she is now, and how thin and frail her arms have become. No more warrior in there.
They may or may not be able to ‘Zot’ the proto-dragon like that, if they can’t, they could be in trouble. And if Theresa doesn’t dewimp Tiffany soon, there is gonna be trouble!
I just noticed something: N-girl has one lock of hair that comes forward from her hair-part, and rubs against her nose on the left side. Exactly like someone else we know. And both Tiffany and N-Girl have big breasts. Is N-Girl the Fracture Tiffany?
@ Medron Pryde Personally I’m hoping for the first, if he goes down it might be enough to help tiffany snap out of it, she cares more about him then the last person she tried to rescue at least.
I wouldn’t say she’s being insanely jealous, I mean he isn’t exactly reacting the way a barbarian would think to, rather I’d have thought the second panel was far closer to her normal personality of getting really angry with people. Certainly better then the second panle and ‘um…lady’. What happened to the raging ball of fun? XD
OMG!! Nerdy guy with round glasses, fantastic magical abilities, understanding of weird languages and chicks all over him! That’s Harry Potpot!! Or not …

How the hell can he understand that?! Is this the introduction of a new language, or something?

Maybe she’s got some secret magic hidden inside those breasts of hers.
Nah, she’s immune to mind control and stuff, like in the beginning of the story… guess it extends to these guys too.

Cryptic: Maybe Tyhan-nee’s ideal of a woman is insanely jealous?
Drowemos: Theresa’s collar should be visible in panel 1, judging by how much of her neck we can see. Just an observation.
deanatay,
As for the collar wouldn’t that have gone with the bluehaired priest-mage?

You have to assume that the collar is still on Theresa because she’s not talking…have you seen any other time where she isn’t talking constantly? 🙂
Is that Captain Kirk by Teresa’s ponytail?
It could be – BEAM ME UP, SCOTTY!

Fracture Like Scholar Dragon
Aww! She’s so cute! I can’t help it, I hope she gets smaller and smaller. She’s a little mini-barbarian!
