Sheela: If you think about it, that’s kinda their job. The Palace Guard are bodyguards, for a very important Body. Their job is not to fight – although it looks like they could do that, in a pinch – but to prevent damage to the King, which they’re quite good at, if only by taking it themselves. I think they may be trained to kill only when ordered to – good training to have when your charge is a high-level diplomat, who often is required to negotiate with bad-tempered and often overtly hostile folk like the Rus. After all, if you killed every Rus ambassador who flew into a rage and started hurting people, you’d never negotiate a treaty with them. 🙂
When the kid realizes that the girl *isn’t* his friend, but is just one of the weirdoes wearing a mask and manipulating him, he’s likely going to be even *more* annoyed.
Yeah, that’s where I’m thinking that there’s going to be something very, very bad happening. Possibly resulting in the deaths of many NPCs and an epic battle for Tiffany, some heroic princess-help from Peonie (well, it’s not like she can fight…), some magic from the priests and Theresa, and… heck, why not, even some Denver Saves the Day action.
However, it’s still going to be rather nasty, can we get odds on deaths/maimings for sub-characters? I like a little clean gambling on plot points XD
Ooh, ooh! Theresa gets it, and Tiffany has to deal with the fact that she hated Theresa right up until the witch takes one for the team! Guilt trip for the Barbarian, heck yeah!
he has faden’s power and when faden wasn’t around the unicorn he was badass the kid just doesn’t know how to use it
you should update the characters list
Little brats with too much power and with no training or control on how to use it should be eliminated. No responsibility, no knowledge of consequences, messing things up wherever they go..
I don’t think that he was smashed through the wall: the hole in the wall is quite more than guard size. Even though he was standing before the wall, it looks like it gave way before him, and fairing considerably worse.
Staying in one piece when he was the actual target and in front is really impressive.

Well damn… wall, yes, but I predicted the wrong one!
That guard is is as bad as they come!
Not only did he get knocked clean thru a wall and stay in one piece, he kept hold of his sword!
I am going to say it…..HE ROCKS!!! :p
I wasn’t expecting any updates for a while.
Frankly, the guards haven’t been very good at their work so far.
They keep getting kicked around.
So does the armor include an airbag? And maybe a parachute? Ouch.

I seriously reckon the knight is a golem or construct of some kind. Seems that he is just too tough.
That party was getting a little hot anyway. Just going out, thru the wall, for some fresh air.
Does this mean that with both 7ft dudes out of order for the moment, Tiffany will have to take their place protecting the king?

Few people enjoy being used and manipulated.

It’s super effective.

Part of that hole is a window frame.
